the fact my parents thought this would be exciting for me is impeccable. i am 15 years old, my birthday was in the summer. this was not the news i wanted to hear.
school is ending in 1 month, i will have practically have no time to hang out with my friends. this is going to suck. then my phone buzzes.

that facetime call was so eventful. i learned so much ahout this so called "camp". it's like a resort, but you live there the whole summer. it's really nice, the group and i sent in our roomate requests. it's co-ed, so hopefully i can be with all them!
i change my mind, this is actually great news. plenty of kids from my high school, and other schools will be there. ages from 14-17.
i need cute outfits, i am going to go shopping. ugh this is so stressful. there will be cute boys from different schools, i need to impress.
i'll take a uber to the mall since my parents are busy. first i have to pick out a outfit for the day. *
i've been really liking the oversized t-shirt look though. i put my blonde hair into a low messy pony, apply mascara and my glossier lip balm and order my uber.
i usually can't shop too too much, but with my job babysitter I have racked up some cash. there are so many different scenes at the camp. different outfits for all! i primarily need more bathing suits. i am very picky about what bikinis i wear mostly because i am insecure.

i walk into the mall and spot my first store: pacsun. they have pretty cute stuff, the basics. get a pair of mom jeans maybe and a sweater from brandy??
i made my purchase there that was with : 2 pairs of mom ripped jeans and 2 shirts. also a a white turtle neck sweater.
next store: american eagle. i love there jeans and jean shorts so much when it comes to the form fitting area. they also have some cute little shirts.
i ended up buying 3 pairs of jean shorts, and 2 graphic tees.
then i came to: hollister. definitely going to look for a cropped jean jacket here. i found 3 that i really liked, one was a trucker jean jacket with fur inside and the other 2 were black and then denim.
i was going to go by lululemon but, i have enough leggings and shorts.
i went into a couple other stores and splurged on graphic tees, and cropped ones. i also got 2 champion hoodies!
new flipflops by the brand "rainbow" they are super cute with a braided side.
i ordered a uber and went back home.

i logged into my computer to watch netflix, and i see that my gmail has new notifications. i open the tab and see they have sent out news regarding the roommate situation.

Dear parents,
You all had a lot of questions regarding when the housing assignments were coming out. We had so many roommate requests- to let everyone know there are only 4 people to a room. Many people submitted more than 4 to a room. To not upset anyone we are picking randomly. Camp starts in 2 days, most definitely not enough time to send in new requests. On the day of arrival if you are not comfortable with who you are rooming with, please contact Stacy Richards at s5richards@gmail.com . i was quite bummed about the roommate situation. yet this is a great opportunity to make new friends! i'm definitely going to be nervous, but if they are really bad i can switch right?
the good thing at this camp, nothing is required. if you don't want to go do arts and crafts you don't have to. you just can't leave the property. there is a whole lake, resort with a pool, and really nice dorm rooms.
tomorrow's my last day till i leave. i need to get a goodnights sleep and wake up early and get some toiletries for my room. my mom said we can go to target tomorrow.
