Neither Alisha nor Emma had spoken to Hermione in a week. Hermione hadn't been herself, and her friends were starting to worry.

"Hermione, what's wrong?" Harry asked. Hermione shook her head, biting the inside of her cheek.

"Nothing. I'm fine."

Truth was that she missed Alisha dearly. She hated disappointing people, and that's exactly what she had done to her.

Harry sighed, fumbling with his fingers. He wanted his best friend back. He shared a look with Ron, who nodded glumly.

___

Harry and Ron reluctantly made their way to the Slytherin table the next day. Alisha looked up at them, one of her eyebrows raised. "What?" she asked. Harry cleared his throat as Ron scratched the back of his neck.

"Erm, we were wondering if you could talk to Hermione. She hasn't really been herself lately, and you might be able to help," Harry said. Alisha chewed her lip, debating her options. She truly did miss being friends with Hermione, but she was still upset about Hermione hiding something from her. Alisha sighed, coming to a decision.

"I'll talk to her."

___

Alisha weaved through the corridor filled with students. She furrowed her eyebrows in concentration as her eyes searched for a certain bushy-haired Gryffindor girl. Alisha spotted her about two yards away, making her bite her lip. She shoved through a group of students, muttering a quick half-hearted apology.

"Mione!" she called out. Hermione stopped walking as she heard the familiar voice call out to her. A hopeful look spread across her face as she turned around. Alisha stepped forward, grabbing her arm. She dragged Hermione away from the crowded hallway and into an empty classroom.

"I'm sorry," they both said. Alisha chuckled as Hermione cracked a small smile. "You first," they both said. Alisha met Hermione's eyes, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry, Alisha. I really am. I know I already said this, but I just can't tell you," Hermione said. Alisha nodded. "I get it. I know you, and I know that whatever it is must be really important. Forget it," she stated. Hermione smiled, her eyes welling up with tears. She pulled Alisha into a warm embrace, making Alisha laugh loudly as she returned the hug.

"I also wanted to tell you something," Alisha said. Hermione nodded as she pulled away from their hug. Alisha let out a nervous breath, wringing her wrists. "I like girls. And guys," she confessed. Hermione smiled, pulling her in for another hug.

"You didn't have to be so nervous, Alisha. I would support you no matter what, and you know that."
