Duke Depp and reader

This is depressing but lowkey kinda good

*the next day*
You wake up early in the morning and you can hear your parents shouting. You knew they argued often but you never really payed attention to anything they said to each other but today you decided to listen. You hear your mum shout "get the fuck out of my house Ryan!" And then your eyes start to tear up. You hear the door slam and then you can hear your mum approach your room so you pretend to be asleep. Your mum knocks on your door and walks in "Sweety? Are you awake?". You roll over to face your mum. "Me and your dad have decided to spend some time apart, he's going to stay at his parents for a bit and me and you will stay here." You can't hold back your tears as you hear your mum say this. You don't know how to feel so you turn away from your mum and tell her to get out of your room. She walks away and as she closes your door she says "you can talk to me anytime." but you ignore her and wipe your tears away.

A few hours pass and you realise you've fallen asleep. Your face is still wet from your tears, which reminds you of what happened before you fell asleep so a single tear rolls down your cheek again. You hear your mum talking to someone and you hope that it's your dad so you run out of your room to see. It was Duke. As soon as he sees you he runs over. "Y/n, I was worried because you didn't reply to my texts," he grabs your face and looks confused "have you been crying?" He then turns to your mom and says "is everything alright?" Your mum sighs and says "me and my husband had an argument and we thought it would be best if we spent some time apart. You don't need to worry about us though Duke, Y/n has always been really strong." Duke goes over to your mum and hugs her "I'm so sorry Debby, would you like me to leave?" Duke goes to let go but your mum carries on hugging him. You see tears start to form in her eyes and then the tears started rolling down her face. "You're a really good guy Duke and I'm grateful to have you as a neighbour and friend." Your mum says while squeezing Duke tighter. Duke wrapped his arms back around your mum and then gestured for you to also come over, so you went to hug them both. "I'm happy that your comfortable to talk to me about it. Listen, why don't you both go sit on the sofa and I'll make you both a drink." Duke walked you both to the sofa, where you sat down in silence. Duke put on the kettle and then brung you both some tissues, while he waited for the water to boil. You both took a few tissues and then you watched Duke as he made you and your mum some tea.

An hour passes and your mum says "Sorry guys I'm going to have to get to work. Thank you so much for being here for us but don't feel like you have to stay, you can go at any time." Duke looks up at her from the sofa and says "I'm glad I could help you. I'll happily stay as long as you want me to but if you want me to leave then just say." Your mum thanks Duke again and walks out the door, closing it behind her. You grab Duke and softly pull him closer to you. You lean into him and wrap your arms around him. Duke kisses you on your head and gently pulls your head up so your looking at him. He wipes away your tears with his thumb and pulls you in to hug you. You both sit there in silence, just holding each other.
