You decide to get changed but you don't want to move to much because you're still tired. You decide just to get changed in Dukes room because his hoodie is big enough to cover you completely so you just get changed under that. You end up keeping his hoodie on because you love oversized hoodies and it smells like Duke. "I can get out if you want." Duke says laughing. "No its fine, honestly." you say back. Duke goes in the bathroom to brush his teeth and you go to join him but you remember you don't have any stuff with you. Luckily Duke has a brand new unused toothbrush that he says you can keep here for if you say again and you thank him. You both finish brushing you teeth and make your way into the living room. Duke makes a TikTok explaining what's happened on the live last night and how you're just friends but obviously no one in the comments believed it. You hear Duke sigh as he reads the comments so you go over and hug him. He puts his arm around you and leans his head in between your neck and shoulder. Like last night, you tell him that it doesn't matter what they say because you both know that you're not together but then Duke interrupts you. "But that's the thing... I really like you and I think I want to be more then just friends with you. I know we've literally known each other for a few days but I'm happy with you and I don't want that to be ruined by all these comments." You both stand in silence after he says that and you're not sure what to say. "Duke..." is all you manage to get out before he interrupts you again. "I know it was stupid. Just forget I ever said that. I'm guessing you want to go back to yours now." This time you interrupt him "No, listen Duke. Honestly I've never been happier and I really love spending time with you but we're only just getting to know you so I want to take things slow.". You both go silent and Duke walks over and sits on the sofa. You follow behind and you sit down next to him but when you put your hand on him arm he pulls it away. "Do you want me to go?" You ask Duke. "No. Maybe. I don't know." Duke responds. "It's fine I'll go and give you time to think about everything. Please message me later, I'm sorry if I said something wrong." Duke doesn't reply so you just leave and go to your apartment.

"You're back earlier then I expected." Said you mum as you walked through the door. You know you look sad so you try to hide it by smiling. "Yeah Duke just felt a little bit sick, that's all." You say back. "Oh no! I hope he gets better soon." Your mum says. "Yeah me too." You say while walking towards your room. When you get to your room you feel your eyes start to tear up as you imagine all the different things that you could've accidentally said or done to hurt Duke so you decide to message him. You write on the text "hey Duke. I'm honestly really sorry if I said or done something to hurt you. I like you a lot too but I just want to take things slow because we've only just met. I'm here for you no matter what, okay Duke? once again I'm sorry" you stare at it for a minute and your eyes start tearing up again so you just press send.

You spend all day thinking about Duke and you constantly check your phone. With still no reply from Duke you decide to go for a walk around the block to get to know the area better but also to get your mind off of Duke. As you get outside, you look back at the apartments and in one of the windows you see Duke looking out but he's to high up to properly see him.

After about 10 minutes you get back to your apartment and you look back up at the window and Dukes still there but he's now sat down. You walk into your apartment and go straight to your room. Your mum brings you in some food and asks if you're alright. You convince her that you're fine and just tired, and she leaves you alone for the rest of the day.

*a few hours later*

It starts getting late so you decide to try to sleep. You get into bed and decide to check if Dukes posted but he hadn't. Even though you know that he hasn't messaged back, you still look at your message to Duke. Your eyes start tearing up thinking about earlier so you switch off you phone and drift off to sleep.
