An evening at Dukes

Still asleep, you begin to dream; as expected, your dream is about Duke and you start to unconsciously smile in real life. In your dream, you and Duke are at Disney world and it's your first time there. Duke gets so excited to show you all the rides there and he takes you into a few of the shops and cafes. You hear someone calling you from a distance so you look around to see who it is. You see Duke standing there calling you and you try to answer but you can't but you eventually start to wake back up. You realise Duke was calling your name in real life and that's why you couldn't answer in your dream so you smile and say hi to him when you're fully awake. He smiles back and then kisses your forehead.

"Sorry to wake you but I was just wondering what time you need to be home." Duke says to you. You look down at your phone to check the time and see it says it's 7:15pm. You quickly sit up and say "oh shit my mums probably wondering where I am, I have 6 missed calls from her. I must've left my phone on silent!". Duke smiles and says "don't worry, she rung me so I told her that you fell asleep here and that you're safe but I just forgot to ask when she wanted you home.". You smile at Duke and thank him and then you message your mum to ask when you should go home, she messages back and says she doesn't mind but if you're staying at Dukes again tonight then to come get your stuff now before she goes out with her friends because you don't have a key. You tell Duke and he says he's happy for you to stay another night so you both agree to go get your things together.

5 minutes pass and you're back at your apartment. You walk inside and say hello to your mum and then you go straight through to your room; Duke stays in the living room and talks to your mom while you get some clean clothes from your closet. Before you left Dukes, you got your clothes from the day before and brought them home so you could wash them so after you got your new clothes, you put the old ones into the washing machine. You can hear your mom talking with Duke and then they both laugh. You smile at the fact that they get on well because you see a future with Duke so you want your parents to like him. Your dad only met him once or twice but from those times they both seemed happy. You stand in the doorway smiling at how cute Duke is while he talks to your mom, he turns and sees you stood there. "Ready?" He asks you. You snap back into reality and say "yeah, I'm pretty sure I've got everything." He steps towards you and puts his arm out so he can put it around you. You talk to your mom for a little bit longer and find out she's going out for a few drinks with her work friends, she kisses you on the head and tells you to have a good time. Duke looks at you and says "you know what that means" while smirking and winking and you jokingly hit him on the arm and hope your mom didn't hear him.

You start making your way up to Dukes apartment and he unlocks the door so you can get in. Duke stops for a second and looks at his phone, you see his face change so you ask if everything's alright. He stares at his phone for a bit longer and then says "yeah Larri messaged asking to meet him but I'm not sure what to say because we haven't spoke since that whole set up thing". You quiet because you know how it made Duke feel so you start feeling bad again but you go over to him to see the messages.

*messages between Duke and Larray*
Larri: heyyyyy Duke. I know we haven't spoke since that whole thing but I was thinking we could meet up

Duke: um yeah you could come here if you wanted

Larri: ok sounds good! I can get there in like 45 minutes but I have to get ready first

Duke: alright y/n is here as well if that's alright

Larri: even better! I can see you both then

*back to normal*
You sigh and put your hands on your head while sitting on the couch. Duke joins you sitting down and runs your back "is everything alright? He doesn't have to come if you don't want" Duke says, concerned. You bring your hands away from your face but don't look at Duke and say "no it's fine but I just feel really awkward because of that plan me and Larri made a while ago". You look up at Duke to see what he's gonna say next and he just smiles and says "that's in the past, not gonna lie it was pretty weird when it happened but it's over and done with now. You and Larri explained why you did it and I know you just wanted to get closer to me so I'm not gonna be angry at you". You smile at him and say "thanks Duke. I still feel pretty shitty about it though so I hope Larri doesn't feel the same". Duke pulls you in for a hug and reassures you that it'll be fine. You both sit on the couch cuddling for a bit and then you start playing with his hair; you always love how soft it is so you play with it whenever you get the chance.

Some time passes and you decide to go on TikTok while you wait for Larray to arrive. As you're scrolling you come across Duke and Alyssa's diss tracks so you listen to them all. You had heard them when they were first posted but you found them funny so you listened again. Duke sees what you're watching and he says "you do know those are a joke don't you?" And you laugh and say yeah. He tells you he was worried because everyone else thinks it serious but you let him know that you know none of its real. You carry on scrolling through TikTok and Duke also watches. You hear a notification so Duke looks over to his phone and there's a message from Larray. "Larri says he's almost here". You say okay and then go off your phone so you can talk to Duke for a bit. You turn around and smile at Duke and he puts his hand under your chin to bring it up to his face. He goes in for a kiss so you close your eyes and move in closer. You rest your hand on his chest and then pull away so you can make eye contact with him. He looks straight into your eyes and smiles, you go back in for the kiss and he smiles some more. You start running your hand through his hair and you can feel his grip tighten on your waste. Without realising, your hand slowly slips down to his stomach and you can feel his abs through his shirt. As he takes his hand from your cheek and places it on your waste, the door knocks. You start to pull your head away but you can tell Duke doesn't want to. He rolls his eyes and says "every time" and you just smile. As he stands up you ruffle his hair and he looks at you and shakes his head so you laugh. You walk over to the door with him but as soon as you open it Larray pounces at you both to give you a hug. Once he finally let's go, he looks at Duke and says "messy hair again? Why is it always when I walk in?" and laughs. Duke quickly sorts his hair out as you and Larray make your way over to the couch.
