3rd Person POV

"What is she doing?" Ava whispers to Nate, Zari, and Brooklyn as the group watches Charlie meditating in the parlor and whispering in Greek. Maddie sits on the floor by Brooklyn's feet, playing with a toy

"She said she wanted to get into the right headspace, so..." Nate says

"Oh. I totally get that." Zari says. "There's nothing like a 20-second meditation micro-sesh to Zen out..."

"Did we miss the weaving?" Gary asks, rushing into the room with a dog. Brooklyn's eyes widen and she quickly scoops up Maddie from the ground and backs away from Gary with the whimpering dog in his arms. "I hope we didn't miss the weaving."

Nate, seeing Brooklyn's abrupt and skittish movements when the dog was brought into the room, gently grabs her arm and pulls her to stand next to him

"Gary, what... You have a dog?" Ava asks. "We don't have dogs. This is not a dog place."

"I have a letter from my therapist." Gary says

"We don't have therapists either." Ava tells him

"Well, we should." Gary says, placing the dog down on the floor. Brooklyn, with Maddie on her hip, puts her hand on the console behind her and jumps up on it, trying to distance herself from the dog as Gary grabs a letter from his pocket. "Going to hell generated a lot of anxiety."

Nate reads the letter. "Well, this says this is his emotional-support animal." Nate says. "It's signed and everything." He looks at Gary. "Here's the thing though, what if someone is afraid of your emotional support animal?"

"Who would be afraid of–" Gary starts before Ava cuts him off

"I don't have time for this." Ava says, grabbing the letter and giving it back to Gary

"I've named him Gary Junior." Gary says. "Oh, he's made a tiny tinkle."

"Ew." Zari says

"He isn't ship-broken." Gary says and the dog runs away. "Junior!" He calls. He looks at the group again. "He's usually a very good boy. Everyone, watch your step." He says, running out of the room

"Oh. Chasing tail now, are we, Gary?" Constantine says, walking into the room with Astra. "That's a first."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait." Ava tries to warn Constantine. "Don't step..."

Constantine steps in the dog pee. "Bollocks." Constantine mutters. "Gary!"

"Whew. All right, almost ready." Charlie says, sliding off the table. "I think. It's been a few millennia. Okay, so who's gonna get the first weave?"

Everyone in the room talks over each other as Brooklyn watches. Astra and Constantine say Astra's mother. Nate and Zari say Behrad. Ava says Sara

"Oh, this should be interesting." Brooklyn mumbles, sliding off the console and putting Maddie on her hip

"Behrad first, John." Zari tells him

"Yeah, look, uh... well, I made a promise to Astra, love." Constantine says

"I'm with Zari." Nate says. "Behrad."

"Who's Behrad?" Astra asks. "I did not come back from hell to take a number and wait my turn."

"He is my brother, and he's part of the team that found the rings." Zari says. "We're getting him back first."

"Okay, stop, stop. Everybody, stop arguing. You're all gonna get a chance." Ava says. "But Sara's in a coma. Charlie's gonna weave her out first."
