I've been sitting in this cell for two hours now. I'm still trying to process how he got away. Yes he go away, they caught him on a camera around a corner store not to long ago and they are still trying to find him. Like how hard is it to find a wounded man unless someone helped him. Someone has to bail me out but I don't feel like calling my brother or Ron because they are gonna kill me for being in here without even knowing the story first. I can wait.

The officer didn't even know what to do to be honest he said I was protecting myself, so why the hell you put me in here then? dumb ass

"Addison" I heard my last name being called as I looked up seeing the officer unlocking the door. "Someone just got you out" I raised an eyebrow confused because I didn't call no one.

He shrugged as I got up quickly out the chair ready to get away from the other women walking out seeing some guy standing there.

"April right?" He said to me.

"Um yeah.."

"I'm Mijo, Chris told me what happened and told me to bail you out" oh wow that was nice of him.

"Wow, um thank you so much seriously but you didn't have to I had my brother or friend to do that"

"Well you out now" he chuckled a bit as we walked further and the lady at the front handed me my phone and bag. I mumbled a thank you as we walked out to his car getting in.

He started driving off "I would take you to the hotel but my home boy wants me to take you to his house"

"Why?" I looked at him.

"Just relax" he chuckled. "He extra that's all"

I nodded because I knew he was, but Mijo could've took me right to the hotel so I can see Ron. He knows nothing and I know he worried I haven't called him all day.

During the drive we got to know each other a little better he has two beautiful child, Mylen and Maleah. When he showed me the picture I couldn't help but smile, I can't wait to have kids one day.

"You still with the mother of your children?"

"Nah it just ain't work out"

"Would you try again one day?" He shrugged.

"Probably ion got no problem with her we cool so yeah" he smiled a bit. We came to this gated community as he punched in the code as they let us through. After four minutes of passing big ass houses we pulled into a beautiful house so I guess it was Chris's.

"Damn.." I said under my breath looking at it in awe.

"Here we are" he chuckled and handed me a key.

"This my spare key for when I got to check on the house when he out of town or whatever, but take this for tonight, go ahead in" He dug in his pocket handing it to me.

"Just go in?" I took it looking at him.

"Yeah just go" he chuckled a bit. "See you later April, nice meeting ya"

"Nice meeting you too Mijo" I smiled getting out with my stuff in my hand. As I walked to the door he drove off. Well damn you couldn't wait till I got in safe nigga.

I placed the key in turing it so the door could open. As it did I walked in closing it behind me seeing Chris on the couch eating watching tv. Well I'll be damned.

"Chris" I said walking to him putting my stuff down as he jumped a bit.

"Oh shit you scared me" I said looking up at her as she giggled.
