Morning After

April

I opened my eyes to a sleeping and snoring Chris, ugh he was so loud but he was so adorable. His mouth was all open and he was also drooling. I sat up a little wiping his mouth and he reacted by closing his mouth, turning on his side going back to sleep. I chuckled lightly and slipped out of bed quietly placing on one of his shirts. I made my way downstairs and started to take things out to cook for breakfast. Like y'all I really feel good this morning I just hope he's still not mad.

I cooked up a big breakfast with a fruit bowl I just finished making, I just have to added the sliced up strawberries until I felt a pair of hands wrap around my waist.

"Mmm it smells good in here" Chris said placing a kiss on my shoulder.

I turned around looking up at him as he took a strawberry and ate it. "I know I did a good job, just wait till you taste it"

"I know what else I'll like to taste" He said giving that little smirk like he always do.

"You nasty" I said making a stink face, pushing him to the side.

"You like it though"

"Duhh, but come sit and eat, bring the fruit bowl" I said as I grabbed our drinks bringing it to the table and sitting down. He sat down placing the blow on the table.

We started to eat and I felt his eyes on me. "Why you keep staring at me? You creep"

He chuckled "Ion know I'm just staring at this blessing in front of me" once he said that my cheeks started to get rosy.

"Stop"

"Seriously April, and I'm sorry for lashing out at you I was just mad and I had no reason to be because we weren't together and you are grown" he said taking my hand and kissing. "I just really love you that's all"

I smiled like a little girl on the inside "I love you too Chris now eat"

"Okay, okay" he said grabbing his fork, "But I need one thing from you"

"Can you please stop associating with that nigga, for me?"

"Seriously Chris?"

"Yes seriously, I don't trust him around you and I feel like he is pursuing a vendetta against me because he has tried to get close to all the women I dated April"

"Okay now you are going crazy Chris.... But whatever I'll stop being friends with him if that helps our relationship" he smiled and leaned over giving me a kiss. "Spoiled self"

"Whatever nigga" he phone started to ring and he grabbed it answering the call.

Chris

"Hold on baby" I said getting up from the table going out the back door.

I answered the call and a voice spoke through the other end "Hello, is this Christopher Brown? Son to Joyce Hawkins?"

"Um, yes this is May I ask who's speaking?" I asked looking around the backyard at the mess from last night.

"I'm Rina Gonzalez, from The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute and your mom has you as her primary contact"

"Okay so why did you call?"

"Well Ms. Joyce came in last week so we could run some test on her and we discovered that she has stage 2 breast cancer" Once she said that I grabbed a chair quickly and sat down not knowing what to say or do.

"Ma'am... can I give you a call back later?"

"Yeah certainly, I'm sorry sir have a nice day" she said.

"You too" I mumbled hanging up putting the phone down on the patio table.

I held my hands together into a fist, leaning my forehead against it. So many thoughts were running through my mind. Why didn't she tell me? Is she going to be okay? No she gotta be okay because that's mama man, she's a strong woman...

"Baby" I heard April's small feet coming towards me placing her hands on my back. "Are you okay?"

"Oh yeah baby, imma go take a shower and head to mama's" I said getting up out the seat as she looked at me. "What?"

"Chr-"

"Babe" I grabbed her face softly and kissed her forehead. "I'm fine alright?" I said giving her a smile and she smiled back nodding.

"Okay, go get ready I'll clean up" She gave me a quick peck and I went back inside going upstairs with my mom on my mind.

I took a long shower and got dressed quickly hearing the noise from the vacuum. I walked downstairs seeing April cleaning. "Aye baby" I said but she couldn't hear me. "April!" I yelled.

She turned the vacuum off and looked at me. "My bad, about to go?" she asked walking over to me reaching up flipping my hat to the back.

"You look cute" she smirked attempting to reach inside my pants.

"Horny ass, not right now. Just wait till I get back, it's all yours" I said lowly as she bit her lip.

"Better be" she grabbed my hands placing them on her ass and kissed me deeply. I gripped her ass tight as she moaned a bit into my mouth and pulled away. "Hurry up and come back, tell your mom I said they also"

"You know I will" I gave her one last kissed and left grabbing my keys.
