The engaging proposal

I am here waiting for the return of my dear girlfriend who happens to gotten MIA once again. I don't know she seems distracted and down lately. 

 I won't understand what is going through that brain of hers most of the time. But I know I am ready for it. To call her mine finally. And I know this one thing is what I want to do for now.

The knock at my office door brought me back to the reality. "Come in" I said pretending to work on my computer. But in reality, I was wondering where my PA is. "Sir, the jewellery store called. Your order is ready." Finally. 

One step closer to this. One step of solving this. "Thank you, Olivia. Is that all?" I asked my receptionist. "Yes sir, that's all" She turned around to leave but then she looked at me again.

"Oh, there is one mail for you, it said confidential. I have put it on your desk sir" I nodded and she finally took her leave. 

I checked my desk and there it was the letter as she said. Who likes to send the letter when we have email? It is rather odd. And then I opened the envelope. There was a small yellow sticky note on the top right corner of the document.

The favour

I realised why he chose this method now. It is not easier to track and they can deliver it personally so no way anyone can misplace it. That's that. That is what had happened. His SAT phone in the office rang. The secureline, I chuckled at the thought.

 "I was hoping that you have gotten my present Night?" He laughed. "Hardly a present sir" I told him. "Knock yourself out kid, I know you will love this little pet project. You always loved these kinds of things." Didn't I?

"I will let you know what are the situation after I go through the basics." I said "And Lucian, be careful Son, this one is very sensitive" I can hear his worried voice. "Roger, I will let you know. Over and out" I gone through the schematics once again. 

I need to make some calculations. But first I need a very secure place to keep this. I know where I can keep it. I think no one will suspect he have them. And I called the number.

After I delivered the documents to the original place, I was just ready to pick up the ring from the store. And then I heard my phone ring. "Baby, I was waiting for you, are you finished with your work yet?" I asked Violet. 

"Sorry, Lucian it will take me an hour so more, I don't think we will be able to have the lunch together this afternoon. How about after I finish, I come to your office and then we will cook something together and have a candlelight dinner together?" She suggested.

"Hmmm. Sounds tempting but cannot do that baby, have a meeting to attained with a very gorgeous clint of mine. Why don't you head home after you are done? I will come back when I can, don't wait up for me." I know as jealous as Violet was, she would go on to any length to find about my so-called date. 

"You mean to say you are going on a dinner date Lucian?" "If you think it is a date than it is. It is just two people meeting and talking and eating food at the Little Italian restaurant not far from my office. You can interpret it as you like it." I told her.

"When is your date..." She paused "I mean meeting, the time so that I know how long you are going to be there?" I didn't laugh it will give me away.

 "Around Six" I said knowing she might probably ready to throw something at someone in front of him. I do love her jealous side too much. "Alright" And she cut the call. I laughed then. I cannot control my laughter.

After my amusement subsided, I called my partner in crime in my case it was Ezra. "All set and ready to go" I told him. Ezra just chuckled in response. "So, you managed to convince her about your fake oh so gorgeous client?" Sam asked.
