She- the heartbreaker

I walked inside my house only to find it was deserted. She wasn't anywhere. She hasn't returned to me. Violet is still out and I have no idea if she will be returning. But only she can answer why a girl is fighting for her life trying to save me.

As much as I hate Daphne for what she did to me, that is not a fate I wish upon anyone. And what about the strange card and hospital address she had given to me? Why she does not want my brother to find out about her child?

All of it, any of it doesn't make sense to me, at all. I settled down on the staircase and decided to wait for Violet. I hope she comes back soon because she has a lot of questions to answer. And most of them start with a why?

I looked at the time almost midnight, she isn't home yet. And I am very much concerned about Daphne. Who were those people? What is that they want? Why they were trying to kill her? Was it because she knew Violet's secret?

The clock strikes twelve and I heard her footsteps. She didn't turn on the lights but she walked in slowly probably she was thinking about not waking me up. But she didn't know that how much she had hurt me by doing what she did. I trusted her. I trusted her the last thing I ever trusted more than myself. I loved her and she had broken me yet again. The person I have loved has broken me. And this is the third time it had happened. Looks like I really am unlucky in love.

As she stood in front of the stairs her eyes met mine. "You are awake?" She asked. "Yes, I was waiting for you to come to home Querida," I told her. And then I stood up and walked towards her. I pulled her into my arms. "I missed you, Violet. I was so worried when you didn't return for so long." She gasped.

"What is that? Why is your suit wet?" She turned on the light and moved back in horror. "Lucian, what happened to you? Why are you bleeding?" She tried to look for the wound. Only if she could. "It is hopeless, you cannot stop the bleeding," I told her.

"Nonsense, what are you doing here, you need a hospital, you will die Lucian." I held her arms pulling her hands away from my body. "Do not touch me." She was taken aback. "Violet, it is not my blood, I am not going to die, I am not going to go this easily." I pushed her away lightly. "Lucian, what are you doing"

"No, Miss Washington, what you are doing? You would have been happy if that attack went through, isn't it? If your partner in crime could have gotten that bullet into my heart as you planned to. If it didn't just pierce the flesh of the woman who was my first love and she risked everything to save me." She knows what I am talking about. Her expression had given it all away.

"I... I..." I chuckled. "Oh Violet, Violet, Violet. You didn't just make a fool of your sister; you made a fool out of me. Me of all the people. You made me believe in the existence of the good things and then you snatched them away cruelly. Just before I can come to terms with it.

Daphne yes, she broke my heart, but you Violet, you have destroyed me. You have taken the last piece of me that had known love afterward, I have left nothing. I am done, I am done with this pain. This hurt, this pretending, this game. I cannot play anymore. I cannot believe you were involved in something so much dense." She moved towards me and stood face to face.

"What I did Lucian? Tell me why you are telling all these awful things about me?" She held my collar. "Only a few days ago you have proposed to me, you wanted to make me your wife, your other half now you are accusing me of some conspiracy." I pulled the pictures off my jacket and threw them to her. She took them off the floor and looked at them wide-eyed. "How do you..."

"Daphne risked her life for this, she knew it was something connected to you. All those threats, all those accidents were because of you. Now, I don't know if I can see her again because of you. Because she loved me enough to come through for me. What you did other than conspiring against me with this man all this time?" I asked. She moved away.
