From her words to her soul sheis my home

I felt the medic patched me up. I wasn't going to help Ezra anytime sooner. Not until I know who the hell is this person who wants her out of my life. I saw my car being towed away, or what left of it. A car stopped in front of me and I saw Sam getting out with Iris. Iris looked at me worried. 

"That's looks bad, what you been hit with a landslide or a mountain or something?" Samuel asked and I chuckled. "More like a concrete block but it looked more damaged than I am. Luckily I wasn't injured much. But still, the shoulder wound looked bad. "Luckily the bullet wasn't inside Mr. Night. You could have gotten hurt very badly." The medic said. "I know but I think someone was protecting me in her prayers."

Sam chuckled at my sentence "It looks to me like someone was cursing you in their sleep constantly. Who did you piss off this time Night?" I answered him genuinely "I have no damn idea. I am trying still to think who wants to take me out this badly and what do they want? I have nothing I can actually give anyone. I have nothing I have taken from anyone" Sam patted my back. "I think it is more than just plain old revenge, it is something else. I will call Leona and tell her to see if she can find out about this."

"Your girlfriend who is also secretly a mob boss?" Sam gave me a warning look "I am married in case you haven't noticed or you always fail to do so and my wife is the one talking to the doctor Night. Do you want to anger her? Then I will not be responsible for the thing she will do to you. Remember she is a doctor after all." I looked at him horrified. "No, thank you I love all of me in top working position." I said as we both saw Iris returning.

"You are lucky Lucian but not every time you will be this lucky. They want to take you to hospital but I told them I will do it myself, tomorrow you should get a routine blood work let me have a look at your injuries but for now you should really get back to Violet before she cries herself to point of distress." I definitely do not want to worry her. 

But there is nothing I can do to prevent it too at this point. I know what I should do, for now I have to convince her that it wasn't anything serious. I should just convince her that it was just a minor accident.

"Sam can you take me home to her? I do not want my baby to worry about me." Samuel nodded in understanding. "I will tell Leona to send some of her men to keep watch on Violet and you." "I have body guards." I said. "They are more than just body guards they are assassins and they are excellent protectors. 

They will keep you safe because for some reason this whole thing seems to be perfectly planned. Whoever this person is he or she doesn't want to kill you but just spook you into leaving your girl" Like that is ever going to happen. I promised her I will never ever leave her alone.

"I want you to be careful that's all Lucian and there is no harm in having a little extra protection is it?" He asked. "No, I think you are right. Tell Leona I have sent my best regards" I said as he dropped me off to my apartment building. I rode the elevator my arm now secured in a cast. As soon as I got in, I felt her tiny body cling to mine. "Lucian you liar, you lied to me." She complained. 

"when I lied to you Querida? I have told you haven't I that I was alright? And I am alright, see no scratch on me. I can perfect still make you speechless, do you want to try?" She hit me and I screamed. "Sorry, sorry, I forgot you were hurt I am very sorry." She said holding my good hand and walking inside the room.

She helped me with my clothes and then inspected my injuries. Then she traced my scars. She always does that if she is nervous about something. "Another scar added to your collection Mr. Night shall I congratulate you about this?" She asked not very happy about this. No, I can sense she was very much angry about this. And I know she is also going to resent herself if she knew what the man had told me about her. I do not want her to blame herself for anything. "Another scar for you to trace Miss Washington. Another thing for you to play with baby." I told her holding her to me.
