Night Runs Against the clock

I drove towards my house like a mad man. I told her didn't I not to get out of the house alone didn't I? But when that girl will learn to listen. No, she always does what comes in her mind, she never did listens to me. If she did, I wouldn't be turning my hairs grey with worry. "Night" I picked the call up. "Running towards the house? So predictable Night." He told me.

"How do you know where I am going?" I asked. "Wrong question again Night, you should be asking what I do not know about you Night, but as usual you are too dumb to listen" I am just getting tired with this person whoever he is. "What the right question is then?" Tell me buddy, I am all years after that I will pull your ears myself. "Now, that is more like it, Night. Shall I give you a clue then? She isn't in anyplace familiar." Great what that is suppose to mean?

Not in any place familiar? Is he giving me clue or...? I served right to avoid direct confrontation with the oncoming truck. "Careful Night, if you die early how will we play our games? You are not planning quitting on, early do you? If you do, you will not be such a good sport." He can see me somehow but how? I need to know. "Now, are you thinking on find out the device that can show me your exact moves Night? So predictable again."

He is just mocking me and trying to bait me out. I need to stay calm and think this through. That is what I have learned from the years in military, if you cannot win by strength, win by wisdom. "How do you know I do not know of your plans already?" I asked. "Because Night, you are not as bright as you think yourself to be. And let me tell you another thing not every person in your life is as trustworthy as you want them to be." Now he is trying to turn me against my friends and family. I cannot give him the satisfaction of seeing me breaking down and quit on them.

"Not everyone you love, loves you equally, for some you are just in their way of making a good life." It is not true and I know it. "Good joke, I almost believed you there for a second." I tapped on to the software and enter the code in my laptop after parking the car on side. Ok Night no more distraction. I was out of the car and sitting on the hood. 

 "Giving up already Night on your love? How pathetic of you?" He said. He still can see me I know he can so I decided to enter a false code, that will allow me access because it changes every five second and if he tries that, I will know from where he tried to access my system. Impressive isn't it how you can bait one to it?

"I will never give up on my loved ones because of a coward like you. Who is not even brave enough to show his face to me?" I said waiting and waiting. Any minute now he will try that same code I typed to gain access to the military network, but then again, he cannot get it. Not that easily." I heard his laughter and then he told me 

"Even if I walk pass by you Night you cannot recognize me because I do not exist in any world. I am ghost to everyone. No one knows who I am, they only know to fear me and that is the only thing they had known so far." There is first time for everything isn't it? And there is first time to know that you cannot mess with a Night. Sadly, you haven't got any hint.

The red light blinked on my phone. There you couldn't resist the urge, could you? I am coming to you. "Going somewhere Night? This time keep your eyes on the road this time. I will leave you to it with a simple small phrase of catch me if you can, but can you Night before the timer reaches zero?" He asked. I can and I will it is about my Violet. And that is something I cannot let go easily. If he threatened me then, it would have been a different matter, but he did not, he threatened my family. He threatened my Violet.

"Good bye Night, I could say best of luck on your quest but, lady luck loves me more than anyone else." As I said there is first time for everyone. And her is going to learn that the hard way, I drive towards the blinking point. Whoever he is, he is going to be in so much trouble for looking at Violet's way with bad intention. I am not going to spare him. I looked at the direction thinking only one thing, what did he need to be on the military network for? It is not like he needs any of that for his personal use do they? What purpose can the military network can serve in day to day life?
