The Interview

I was walking out of my car. Today there was the interview that was going to held for my secretaries and I haven't seen the list yet. I must interview them personally because I need someone I can trust with my empire.

She must be efficient enough to handle everything perfectly while I am gone. I need her to hold herself in front of my business associates. And most importantly not try to take me to her bed. Al thought it might just be beneficiary for both of us.

No, I am not a playboy. At least not anymore. I stopped it years ago. I pulled the files as soon as I entered my office. My receptionist was ready with them. "Thank you, Anne. Now send one in at a time ok." I instructed her. "Ok Sir. I shall commence the interview in fifteen. Can I get you anything?" She asked. "One coffee would be lovely Anne." "Sure sir"

See, I like this kind of workers they complicate my life less and they don't demand my attention. Efficient and simple just how I like it to be. I don't like someone who cannot held themselves up. As I walked in my phone rang. I picked it up after few rings. "Lucian Night. I have been calling and calling for few days where you have been?" She shouted at me. Classic Myra, even after all these years I have known her she still manages to frighten me,

"Good morning to you too Myra." I told her. "Whatever, remember my little sister violet?" How can I not. She had been bugging me for a long time now. "Yes, I do" And trust me Myra I am not very much happy about it.

"What about her?" I asked trying not to sound irritated. "I need a favour Lucian. She is in town and she is looking for some work, I thought you might help her because we all had ourselves full right now" Yes and you think I am going to be the babysitter of that kid? I don't think so.

"Myra look..." "Lucian don't say no, she will be interviewing for the assistant post. Please do consider her. She is a hard worker all she needs is a chance." "All right then. But I am not making any promises" I told Myra and kept the phone down.

Minutes later my receptionist came in with a warm cup of coffee. And she placed it on the table. "Thank you, you may call the candidates now and give me a heads up before you send in the girl names violet." "Sure Sir" She said and left me there. The first one knocked, and I let her in. Here we go, a boring procedure had just about to begin and I don't know how long I can tolerate these girls.

All of them are good but I don't want good, I want best. Even when most of them have smoking body, I am not looking for a girl to sleep with. I am looking for someone who will not complicate things for me. I wanted someone efficient. I wanted someone who will work as I want them to. In other word the girl should not have mind of her own or the opinions of her own. That is the only requirement for now.

"Sir heads up" All that she needed to see. It is Violet. I know I should insult her, and she will run out of here crying. I can be intimidating when I wish to be. It doesn't matter with whom I need to do this. I just know I don't want her anywhere near me or this office. "Come on in" I said composing myself.

She walked in and this time she was no girl I have seen at her sister's wedding. She had became a woman. I can see it how the dress had hugged her perfect figure. Not missing an inch. Yet it was modest enough to be worn to an interview. "Miss Washington. Take a seat please" I gestured her towards the chair in front of me.

She looked different probably because f the heavy makeup she was wearing. It made her look mature and her features looked more predominant specially her green eyes, a little darker than her sister's meeting mine and then she averted her gaze. I gone through her file while she kept fidgeting with the hem of her dress. Her nervous gesture.

"No need to be nervous Miss Washington. Make yourself comfortable." I said as softly as I could. I must remind myself again and again that she is Myra's baby sister. And I cannot talk to her rudely. My eyes landed on her features. She is defiantly is different and all grown up.

"Miss Washington. You have many good records. Many letters of recommendation. However so, only I can decide whether you are an efficient worker for my firm or not, whether you possess the qualities needed in here to become my assistant." She almost jumped at my voice. "Yes sir, I understand" She told me with a whisper. "Speak up Miss Washington or I will make you speak up I know how to."

"Yes, sir I understand" she spoke up a little louder this time. "What you have Miss Washington that I can make you part of this family? What you have that others don't? You do not have beauty and I doubt that you excel in the brain part. Others before you have a smoking hot body too which I love to look at everyday but you? What is my benefit in this?" I asked.

"I don't have the things they can give you sir, but I have thing that they cannot give you. I can give you my trust, my honour, my loyalty. I can give you my hundred percent," She said.

"Do you know Miss Washington, what giving your hundred percent means? "I stood up and walked towards her. She stiffens a little. "Miss Washington, do you know what giving your hundred percent means to me?" I asked again. This time it was whisper. She shivered. But she didn't flee.

"That means the time you enter through those gates, to the time you leave you will be mine. Only. You will see nothing but me, you will hear no one but me. You will answer to no one but me. Your whole existence should be about me. No one else. You will do anything I say. You will do everything I say. Even if I wish for you to strip and let me touch you, you will. That is giving your hundred percent is. Till you are here I am the sole owner of your mind, body and Soul. Do you get it Miss Washington?" I asked.

"Y...Yes Sir." She said. "Congratulations then, you have the job but how long you can keep it is, up to you. See me at sharp eight here from tomorrow with a black coffee, without anything. Got that?" I asked. "Yes sir" She whispered, and I moved back but not before catching her aroma, chocolate and applewood. It is homely. It reminded me of the household we grew up and my foster mom's apple pies.

"You may go now, and remember your days here depend upon how much you can please me. Miss Washington, I do not tolerate tardiness. Nor I tolerate bad mothing. Keep those two points in mind before you decide to take that appointment letter." I saw her pretty green eyes.

They showed many emotions but none of them are clear enough for me to see. As she left my office, I found her running through my mind all day long. I need to get laid.

"Anne, get Miss Washington's details and tell everyone else that the interview had been concluded for today." I called Anne and said. "Yes Mr. Night, anything else you need sir?" She asked. "No, nothing now, I would tell you if I needed anything Anne. You may go back to your desk now." I told her.

Yes, I definitely need to get laid and take her off my mind.
