A/N:
Hello again my dear readers!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas if you celebrated or Happy Holidays in general! I myself really enjoyed it, ate some good food and celebrated with Family - even though it was under different circumstances. I'm currently writing this on 29.12.2020 and this will probably be the last chapter of 2020! I do really hope that 2021 treats us all a bit better.
Some notes about the story:
In my AU (Alternative Universe) Voldemort does not exist or not in the way he does in the canon universe.
This chapter has slight spice but only very very slight. I'm still unsure if I will include some actual deeper descriptive sexual stuff as I do not know if I feel comfortable with it, I will keep you updated though :)
Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone who read, voted, and commented on my last chapter! This is already the 10th Chapter can you believe it? There have been a bunch of new reads from people I don't know so that means they have discovered my story through different media which I really appreciate! If you read this let me know how you found my story :)
I don't want to keep you waiting any longer so here we go, please enjoy this chapter of my story "Diffindo"!

The moon was beaming brightly down upon Wiltshire, reflecting the white snow-covered grounds, enlightening and brightening the dark night faintly. Somehow the solid crunch of steps against the packed road driveway snow filled the night with a relaxing and familiar sound and leaving trails behind, marking the tiny little progress towards the grand Manor in front.
The gravel driveway to the manor house was broad and had a great hedge curving alongside it. The driveway and hedge went past a pair of heavy iron gates. These gates permitted selected certain individuals to pass through them as if they were smoke, and with others, the iron contorted into a face, which demanded the purpose of the person trying to enter the manor. The yew hedges surrounding the gates and Manor had albino peacocks roving along the top of it. The outside of the manor was grand and the land surrounding it was vast, filling many acres, making it appear abandoned from any other life. In the downstairs window of the Manor faint lights were glimmering and somewhere in the dark garden behind the hedges the water dripping off a fountain accompanied the sounds of the footsteps.
Numerous dark figures passed the iron gates and followed the pebble covered roadway up onto the grand entrance. They came to a halt in front of a large iron door where the large letter "M" inside a crest was engraved including the words "Sanctimonia Vincent Semper". The front door swung inward at the approach of the group without anyone visibly opening it. The following observed hallway was wide, dimly illuminated, and sumptuously decorated, with a magnificent carpet covering the stone floor. The walls of the entrance hall displayed pale-faced portraits lining the walls, and at the end of the hall was the bronze-handled door to a drawing room.
The drawing room was widely proportioned. Probably the grandest room of the house, it had ceilings 30 feet high, two pompous diamond-covered chandeliers, and a pipe organ at one end. The drawing room had a handsome, ornate marble mantelpiece with a gilded mirror that had an intricately scrolled frame on top. The drawing room was now full of silent people, sitting at a long and ornate table. Illumination came from a roaring fire beneath the handsome marble mantelpiece.
At the top of the table, the fire in his back was sitting Lucius Malfoy, his pale blonde hair shimmering in the golden-orange fiery light. Beside him sat his wife Narcissa, staring at him with a blank expression in her blue eyes, the right side of her face reflecting the orange glow. Panning around the room, the before dark figures were now recognizable people as the light brightened their faces. In total, including Narcissa and Lucius, thirteen people were placed around the long-drawn wooden table.
