A/N (Author's Note):
Hi!
First of all thank you so much for taking the time to read my story, voting on it and commenting! It truly means a lot to me ^-^
From this point forward I will switch the point of view to the view of a narrator and will not continue the "I" perspective as I think the narrator position allows for a deeper and more natural perspective of Aline, all of the characters, the scenery and events happening around her. I hope you understand and will still continue to read my story!
Quick note: The age you start these Wizarding Schools in this Alternative Universe (AU) is 13. The time is 1991 to 1998. Usually you are out of school at the age 20-21. Before these Schools Witches and Wizards get taught the basics at smaller, local, magic underground schools.
Also little author's idea: While writing this chapter I was listening to this Spotify Playlist. The vibes fit my story perfectly and if you want to immerse yourself in the full Hogwarts experience I'd suggest listening to this while you read my story:

That is everything for now!
Without further ado....
Here is the chapter, "the sorting"
_______________________________________________________________
The train rattled heavily as it drove into Hogsmeade Station reaching its final destination. Aline had not stopped looking at the beautiful castle since she first saw it about an hour ago. Hogwarts had this energy to it; she couldn't put her finger on it. It felt homey even though she had never been to the place.
Damien had woken up half an hour before the train arrived at Hogsmeade. He joined Aline on her side and gazed onto Hogwarts with her. They didn't speak but where just mesmerized by the beauty of the castle. When the train started rattling it was like Aline and Damien had awoken from a dreamy state and came back into their bodies.
Aline turned her head to Damien. "It's so beautiful, I can't wait to step foot into it" she whispered, and Damien nods agreeing with her. Damien got up and started smiling brightly. The excitement of a new adventure and chapter starting captured him right then and there. He shook his body and then grabbed his coat and his luggage.
Aline followed Damien out of the compartment, holding her trunk tightly in her left hand. The trunk still had the golden Beauxbatons Crest on the middle of it next to her engraved initials. As Damien and her stepped down the train steps the cold October breeze hugged her face. She takes a few steps away from the train and puts her trunk next to herself on the stone pavement of the platform just so she could put her hands around herself, trying to warm up. Damien was standing in front of her, facing the castle but turned around quickly.
"Here have my Coat" he grinned throwing the coat around her before she could even answer. "Don't act like you're not freezing Rabeux", Aline giggled. "I never said I wasn't cold, but you know I'm a strong masculine man!" he exclaimed while over exaggeratingly flexing his muscles. Aline rolled her eyes and pushed him forwards. "Okay, okay calm down Grimaud" he answered as he stumbled backwards, towards the castle.
Aline looked up to the castle. She flashed back to her first day at Beauxbatons and wondered how it might differ from this school. Beauxbatons was located in the Pyrenees mountains of southern France. The school took many of its wizarding students from France, as well as large numbers from Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium, where Damien was from. Students and staff were transported not by train but by use of the Beauxbatons Carriages which were pulled by light blue winged horses.
