George woke up to the doorbell being spam pressed, and then suddenly stopping. He groaned when he saw it was 7 am.
He shifted himself out of bed and walked down the stairs in his clothing from the day before. George didn't bother looking through the peephole- a burglar wouldn't ring the bell a million times.
He could hear different voices outside, and unlocked the door. When it opened, he was more surprised than he should have been.
"Uh," The blonde woman standing behind a teenage boy and older girl stared at George.
Suddenly George felt hyperaware of his state, messy hair, wrinkled and worn out sweats that belonged to Dream and Sapnap, and he was leaning on the door frame like he owned the house.
"Uhm... Hello?" He said, standing up straight.
"I'm sorry, I thought this was my son's-"
"Mom?"
George felt the door handle leave his grip as it swung farther open, and Dream stood next to him.
"Clay," She smiled, but kept an uneasy glance back and forth between him and George.
"Mom, Dad, Cas, Archer," Dream gestured to them, and then to George. "This is George."
"Nice to meet you," The man said, holding his hand out. "Well, at least he's cute."
"Oh, no- we-"
"Nice to meet you too," George shook his hand.
Dream sighed internally, hoping he'd heard his dad wrong, because no one else seemed to think they were dating yet.
"I'm Clay's mother," The woman didn't offer her hand. "You can just call me Joanna."
"Pleasure to finally meet you," He said.
"I'm Cassidy," The girl smiled awkwardly, giving him a peace sign. She grabbed her youngest brother's shoulder. "This is Archer, but he doesn't like to talk much."
"Uhh, come in," Dream said, standing back. George moved with him, and the entire family walked inside with bags and suitcases.
"When you said you'd paid off the house, I didn't expect you to redecorate and move someone in," Joanna said.
"Well... I mean, that's kind of the reason," Dream said, and he seemed unsure of his words. "To move in with-"
"Where am I staying?" Cassidy interrupted, setting her backpack by the door. "I assume my old room?"
"Actually it's occupied," George said.
"You guys don't sleep in the same room?" She scrunched her nose. "That's weird, considering you live together."
"We aren't-" Dream tried to speak, but his dad cut him off this time.
"Are we sleeping in one room?" He laughed. "Surely there's more than enough room for us."
"I can share a room with Dream," George offered.
Joanna looked confused, and then something seemed to click in her mind. "Using the little nickname for him."
