The Vampire Who Stole My Heart Chapter 12

The figure growled at me. "Dad?" I asked. He jumped at me. "What happened to you?" I asked.

Then I saw his fangs. I started to run away until someone grabbed me by the throat.

"Katrina! Help!" I yelled but she wasn't anywhere around. "Dad stop! Dad it hurts...please," I whispered.

I felt like I was going to die. Right before I possibly died, the hands let go and I could breathe again. When I turned, he was gone.

"Scarlet!" Ty said behind me. I looked at him. "I found my dad." I said.

He was staring straight at my neck. "Err...you're bleeding... let's get you to a doctor," he said. I nodded and walked with him but not before looking back to see if my dad was there.

All I saw was a shadow then it was gone.

"What exactly happened?" the doctor asked. I was being checked by him.

"Well..." I trailed off. "I was walking around then I started to walk backwards and I got scratched by a tree. It was a... big branch and Ty came to bring me here." I know I lied but wouldn't I sound crazy if I said my dad was a vampire?

He nodded and left the room.

"My dad was there," I said to Ty. He stared at me oddly.

"You saw him?" he asked.

I nodded and replied, "He was the one who did this to me." I pointed at my throat and he examined it.

"You're fine. It wasn't that big of a bite," Ty said, grabbing my chin to look at my throat more.

"Is he going to die? You know, because he can't control himself?"

Ty laughed. "No. He won't. Besides, vampires just run freely around the world. There is no ruler of the vampires or something. So, unless he kills himself, he will live."

"I want to see him again," I said.

"You want to get killed?"

"No. I just want to see him. Make him remember me. Mostly, I don't want him to hurt anyone."

"Fine. There IS a way to find out where he is."

The computer said and everyone's phone in the room rang, except mine. I was beyond confused as Ty said, "This can help find your dad."

My confused looked look made Katrina laugh. "He meant the blood sample that your dad left on you when he...fed on you can track wherever your dad is." she said.

Then Ty's phone rang. He didn't put the phone to his ear, he just looked at it and said, "Scarlet follow me."

We walked into his Ferrari and drove away. When we stopped, we were at an abandoned warehouse.

Ty started to walk into the building until a scream came from behind the warehouse. Apparently Ty didn't hear it so I walked there alone.

It was my dad, killing a poor innocent deer.

"Dad stop," I said. I didn't know why or how but I was not afraid of what he could do. He looked at me for a moment and dropped the deer.

It started to limb away slowly. "Dad what happened?" I asked.

"I'm not your father," he replied. His voice sounded deeper and sad. Like he was trapped to do something, he didn't want to do.

"Dad, come with me." In a blink of an eye, my dad had me pinned against the wall. His eyes were bloody red and I knew he would kill.

Then he was pushed toward a tree. Branches fell on him as he looked for who did it. At first I thought it was Ty, but it wasn't it was a woman.

My dad ran to her but she was already up in a tree. It was strange. The woman seemed to know my dad's every move. My dad figured he couldn't win and automatically left.

"Um... thanks?" I said. "Exactly who are you?"

She looked at me and I recognized her hazel eyes anywhere. "Mom?"
