The Christmas Holiday's flew by in a whizz. In no time, my sweet days spent lazing around the fire and hanging out with Cedric came to an end.

I wasn't excited to get back to lessons but I found the emptiness of the castle rather boring, so I wasn't exactly complaining.

It was the first day of lessons and I found myself sitting with Sarah at the Gryffindor table, she was telling me all about her holidays in the Netherlands and how much fun she'd had. I know it sounds mean, but I really didn't care.

Thankfully Oliver came to my rescue by sitting down next to me. Not knowing where it came from I gave him a hug, he was shocked at first but quickly melted into it.

"Thank you for the Christmas present and I'm so so sorry I didn't ge-"

He chuckled, cutting me off. "It's fine Poppy. Don't even mention it" I gave him a smile, which he returned. I don't know how long we were looking at each other like that but it must've been a while since I heard Sarah cough awkwardly.

I diverted my gaze to her as she said "We should probably start heading to Herbology"

I nodded and said a quick goodbye to Oliver before we left for the greenhouses.

The lessons dragged by slowly, I didn't really find them entertaining but I knew I should be paying more attention than everyone else. Considering that this was only my first year learning magic. And being a witch for that matter.

I had just finished Divination with Professor Trelawney. I didn't really know how to feel about that subject. Part of me thought that it was all just a big scam. But part of me wanted to believe the future wasn't as mysterious and dreadful as it seemed to be.

I looked around and realized I had gone the wrong way and was in fact nowhere close to the Gryffindor common room. I was about to turn back from where I came from when I heard noises coming from inside what was supposed to be an empty classroom.

I told myself to leave, knowing that whatever was in there was not for me to see. But... I was a Gryffindor after all.

I flung the door open as my eyes landed on none other than Sarah and Warrington. He had his hand up her skirt and she had her arms wrapped around his neck. They were kissing each other furiously.

I stood there for a couple of seconds until Sarah opened her eyes and saw me there, standing like the awkward person I am.

"Oh my God" She muttered, pushing Cassius away from her. He turned around confused until he saw me, blushing.

"I- I'm so so sorry" I stuttered, before leaving the room and running towards the common room.

Once I got to the portrait of the Fat Lady I immediately erupted in laughter. Not even bothering to muffle it.

"Care to tell me what's so funny?" The Fat Lady inquired.

"Nothing much" I said, composing myself, "Just an enemies to lovers story finally happening."
