After my last period, which was Charms, I started heading towards the transfiguration room where I would be serving my detention with Cedric. But I was rapidly stopped by none other than the school's potion master, my father.

"I see you've already got a detention, from Mcgonagall"

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "It wasn't my fault, I simply recommended that the school should be more inclusive of Muggle products and she gave me a detention"

He was pinching the bridge of his nose now, obviously annoyed. "Listen to me Poppy, you have got to up your game. I might be your teacher but I'm also your Father."

I stared at him "I know that."

"Clearly. But you can't just go around getting detentions by all the teachers."

I stared at him in desbelief. "Why do you care? Is it cause it will affect your reputation as the big bad teacher?"

A look of hurt flashed through his eyes for less than a milisecond. Before he muttered something barely inaudible "You're nothing like me or your mother, you almost remind me of..."

"Of who?" I chimed in when he stopped talking.

"Never mind." he said shaking his head, as if the idea he had tried to grasp was now gone. "But I can't get you out of thi-"

"I never asked you to. Now if you excuse me Professor, I have a detention to get to" And with that I walked away from my father. Again.

The Cat Lady had explained that we were supposed to sort out some old detention files for at least an hour.

Brilliant. Simply brilliant.

When I arrived at the class- after already haven gotten lost a couple of times - I saw that Cedric was there and waiting for me. As soon as he spotted me he flashed me a smile and started walking towards me.

"You ready?" He asked signalling to the doors and I nodded. So together we walked in to see Mcgonagall sitting by her desk.

Before leaving to the Great hall to have dinner like everybody else, she conjured up some sandwhiches and left them on the table for us to eat.

A minute later, Cedric and I were alone.

"Sooo, how do you want to do this?" I asked him heading towards one of the tables that had files scattered on top of it.

"Mmh, how about you take that table and I'll start with this one." I nodded again and started sorting through the files.

It was a very uneventful night, considering that most of the detentions filed were to Fred and George Weasley. My job was just had to go over the ink to make sure that all the writing was readable, and since those files were quite fresh, I barely had to do anything.

Cedric however had gotten files from quite a long time ago. So I finished way before him and then had to go help him.

"Thanks" He said as he picked up another file

"Don't mention it" And this time I flashed him a smile.

This pile was also quite uneventful, all the detentions had the names James Potter and Sirius Black on them. Some of the things they had done were quite funny. Like they had set dungbombs off in the teachers lounge, and used a silly enchantment to become ghosts for a couple of hours. I think I'd found my new idols.

My smile widened as I saw another file with the name James Potter on it, but it quickly turned to a look of confusion as I saw a familiar name next to it.

Detention to James Potter and Lily Evans for public moral offense.

I stared at it. Hadn't father told me that my full name was Poppy Snape-Evans. Maybe it was just a coincidence? But if it wasn't, I knew for sure that father's name was not James Potter. So why were they kissing? And the name Potter... I know for a fact I've heard that before.

However, because I am a total dumbass and was to submerged in my own thoughts, I didn't notice that one of the boxes was toppling right on the edge of the table. And as I placed the confusing file on it, well, um, it fell on my foot.

Cedric turned his attention to me when he heard the loud thud of the box hitting the floor, and my foot.

"Poppy! Are you okay?" He said as he rushed towards me.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me" So with that I bent down and started picking up the files that had spilled over. Cedric however, did not help the matter by suddenly bursting into laughter. And I couldn't help smile at him.

"Hey! it's not funny it really hurts"

He then smiled at me slyly "You mean when you fell from heaven?"

"No, I mean when I crawled up from hell"
