As the Cat Lady took the hat of my head everyone stared at me in shock, as if trying to process what had happened. I stayed seated awkwardly until two red haired boys yelled out "She's in Gryffindor!"

I guess the situation had finally hit them and I made my way to the red table. I honestly couldn't care less where I was put so I just sat next to a brunette with sparkling green eyes. She smiled at me warmly and I returned it. I felt pats on my back from my fellow Gryffindors and words of encouragment but I was trying to make out Father's expression. He seemed shocked, and although he was smiling at me, there was something else in his eyes. Saddness? Dissapointment? Longing?

Whatever it was I didn't have time to figure it out as I heard a voice from the Hufflepuff table.

"YES POPPY!! WHOOP WHOOP!" I couldn't help myself from laughing at all the bizzare looks Lanti was recieving. My eyes widened when I spotted the boy from the train station smiling at me warmly. Sooo, he's a Hufflepuff.

"Well now that we're all sorted and ready, let's not wait any longer. Enjoy!"

The second the Santa Claus dude sat down, piles of food appeared right infront of me. I didn't even notice the cutlery as I started picking up a bit of everything and dropping it straight into my plate with my bare hands.

I heard the girl next to me let out a friendly laugh as she grabbed some food too. "I can already tell, you're nothing like Snape." She then stretched out her hand for me to shake "I'm Sarah Averall. I'm a fourth year too" I wanted to shake her hand but when I saw mine dripping in grease I simply smiled at her and replied with my mouth full "Nice 'o mee' you".

She let out another laugh and we continued talking.

I told her she should try the chicken and she told me she was vegetarian. There was certainly a lot of diversity in this school.

When we were done eating, the food dissapeared and so did the dirty plates. Underneath mine I saw a note which I picked up and struggled reading. Being dyslexic it looked something like this to me:

Cmoe to me ofceie wehn yuo'er dnoe etaing,

I'm srue yuu wnat smoe epxalnaitons.

-A.D.

I had to ask Sarah to decipher it for me and she told me I should go meet Dumbeldore.

Looks like me and Skinny Santa Claus had some tea to spill.
