Chapter 23:

Erza's POV:

We ran after Gray with the help of Laxus and Erik. They sniffed out his scent and followed him, as we were following them. We finally got to where they said the scent ended. It was an abandoned mansion that actually looked to be in pretty good shape.

Right as we ran up we saw four figures come out. Wendy, Lucy, Kagura, and Rogue came out talking. They stopped when they saw us, and I immediately unsheathed my sword. I didn't know whether Rogue had turned back or not, but he looked the same so I was cautious.

Kagura stepped in front of him and said he was normal again.

"Then why aren't his eyes red like normal?" I asked.

"They won't return to my usual red eyes until mating season is officially over." He said.

I put my sword away. That was the second time in one day I almost killed a friend. I really have to stop this before it becomes a habit.

"Where are Levy and Yukino?" Laxus asked.

Lucy smirked. "Levy is trapped by Gajeel because he has his arm around her while he's sleeping and he won't let her go." She said.

"If that idiot hurts her then he will have to answer to me." I demanded.

"What about Yukino?"

Lucy covered Kagura's mouth, giving her a look that says I dare you, and covered one of Wendy's ears. She quickly moved her other hand off of her mouth to cover Wendy's other ear and said, "Now you may tell her."

"Her and Sting are a little busy right now, if you know what I mean."

We heard a squeal and we saw Mira hyperventilating and talking really fast about something called StingYu. I think she also passed out at one point. Laxus sighed and picked her up bridal style. I shrugged because I didn't know what exactly she meant by "busy." Was Yukino training with Sting? Was he back to normal too? Why did Lucy cover Wendy's ears if they were just training? If they are training then I wanna fight Yukino too! There is something I'm not understanding.

Lucy looked at my confused state and sighed.

"Erza, how do you not understand? Yukino and Sting are-"

"Making StingYu babies!" Said Mira, returning back from the dead. She didn't even bother to get out of Laxus' arms.

"Making . . . babies?" It clicked.

"Sting you mother****** I will kill you for touching innocent Yukino!!" I shouted.

I was about to charge in there but Jellal held me back.

"Erza, if we go in there now then Wendy will be scarred. Think about the still innocent child that's right next to us." He said.

"Wait but I still need to kick Natsu's ass!!!" I yelled.

"Erza, the child." He said pointing at Wendy.

I sighed and walked towards Wendy, knowing there was nothing I could do for now.

I pouted and crossed my arms. "You're so mean sometimes, Jellybean."

He froze. "What?"

I looked back at him and he looked at me, shocked for some reason. I tilted my head.

Wendy looked at me in awe, Lucy and Kagura were trying not to laugh, Rogue just looked at me with a face that asks "what did she just say?" I looked at Laxus, who was holding a once again unconscious Mira. I then realized what I had just said. I tensed and stood straight up, with my face feeling as hot as Natsu's flames. The blush crept into my face.

"I-I uh...um...uh bye!" I ran, but I ran straight into a deep hole.

"KYAAAAA!!!" I screamed as I felt myself fall and land on the ground, about 12 feet into the ground. I looked up, blushed even more at how embarrassing that was, and saw everyone gathered around the hole looking in at me, shocked.

"S-She squealed. . ." Lucy said, dumbfounded.

"A-And it was cute." Said Jellal, who was red faced and had a bit of a nosebleed. The others just gawked at me.

I covered my face, embarrassed at the noise I had made. "I-I can squeal!!" I yelled, somewhat offended.

When my face no longer felt hot, I moved my hand away and stood up, brushing the dirt off my skirt.

I climbed out and asked the still surprised people where the hole came from. Then one of Lucy's spirits appeared. I think her name was Virgo, and said that she wanted to lay traps to help us catch the dragonslayers. She disappeared.

I looked around and saw everyone except one person, and Lucy pointed to the ground next to me. I looked down and saw Jellal on the ground, holding his nose to stop the bleeding that was coming out. I heard him mumble a few things that made my face ignite again.

"She called me Jellybean..." He mumbled, "why is her squeal so damn adorable. I'm gonna die." He had swirls for eyes.

I breathed in and out once to calm myself, then attempted to act normal. I kicked him lightly and told him to get up, pretending I didn't hear what he was mumbling. After a few more minutes of doing that, he finally calmed down and got up. I was blushing a little but not much. He cleared his throat to end the awkward scene and his blush toned down a little.

"So, where is Gray?" I asked.

Lucy looked nervous. "He may or may not have challenged Natsu to a battle over me." She said.

"And?" I demanded.

She closed her right eye, as if wincing.  "And I'm afraid Natsu is gonna kill him." She said quietly.

"What?!" I shouted.

"But Erza if she stayed there any longer she could have died too! If she did, both Gray and Natsu would go crazy!" Kagura shouted at me, trying to calm me down.

"Yeah, you're right, but we need to make sure no one dies at all! Natsu is a damn demon! And Gray's magic basically exists to kill demons. This could be bad! Is there anything else I should know?" I asked her. I wanted to make sure I had all of the facts before making a plan.

Lucy sighed. "He's become corrupted, but he looks like he still has control. It's like he can use the upgraded power that the mating season gives him, but without being taken over."

"So, he has control of his inner devil?" Laxus asked.

"Inner devil?"
