Chapter 25:

Lucy's POV:

As soon as Erza said that, Gray growled. He turned around, taking me with him as if shielding me. He hugged me tighter, and his back was facing Erza. He looked back at her.

"You will do no such thing to my Lucy!" He said protectively.

I blushed fifty shades of red. "Huh?!"

He hugged me even tighter, if that was even possible, and blushed.

"Well, you are my Lucy, because you are my mate." He said quietly.

"But I-I thought I was Natsu's mate?"

"You are not. Natsu actually had a crush on you before Lis came back. I guess his inner dragon saw that he still had feelings for you which were stronger than his feelings for Lisanna, because it went against fate and it automatically decided you are Natsu's mate. But nope. You are mine. And you are gonna stay like that. I'm not hiding my feelings anymore." He said.

I smiled lightly at him. "Wait, does marking mean a slayer has to do THAT with their mate?" I asked.

"Oh god no. After the marking process, the slayers turn back to normal. Why?" He said.

"Because Yukino and Sting are doing that right now." I said. "We heard them on the way up here." I shivered.

He laughed. "You're spilling everyone's secrets right now aren't you?"

I giggled. "Yep!"

I heard footsteps and knew that Erza was walking away to give us some privacy. She might wanna cover her ears when she reaches the second door from this room. I think I've explained enough for you readers to know why.

(Nova: Woah woah woah you broke the fourth wall! You were doing so well, too. I thought I was gonna have a normal story. 😭

Lucy: No don't cryyy!!! Levy-chan, Nova is crying please help!

Levy: Lily get over here so Nova can cuddle you!

Lily: What no! She cuddles too tight! I'm gonna suffocate! Gajeel save me from your girlfriend!

Gajeel: She's not my girlfriend!

Lily: That's not what the story said!

Levy: Guys! Nova is crying. Lily I will give you fresh kiwis if you let her cuddle you.

Lily: Fine

Nova: *cuddles Lily in his small cat form* Okay I'm calm. Did I hug you too hard Lily?

Lily: No you didn't. Thank you.

Nova: No problem, but can we please get back to my story? It was getting good!

Levy: But talking to you is fun!

Nova: But if we don't finish the story I won't get to write the sequel.

Lily: Nova you ruined the surprise

Nova: Wait no I'm sorry please ignore that I-I . . .oh nevermind.

Levy: Okay now-

Gajeel Shut it Shrimp, I'm saying it.

Levy: Oh fine

Gajeel: *clears throat* Now back to the story )

"Hey Gray?" I asked again.

"Hm?" He asked. It was the only sound he could make because he had nuzzled his head into the corner of my neck. I gently moved his face to look at me. "Love you." I said as I kissed him. He was taken aback for a minute but quickly kissed back.

"You can mark me if you want." I said quietly.

"Are you sure? It's permanent, you know. It's a big decision." He said.

I smiled at him. "Better you than Natsu. Also, I love you, and I am your mate. What more proof and reassurance do I need? Also, I'm pretty sure it will stop Natsu from trying to do anything to me for the rest of the week until mating season is over." 

He smiled brightly and warned me that it might hurt a little. He gripped my chin and turned it so that my neck was showing. It was basically the same thing Natsu did but Gray was more gentle. He licked it, which made me shiver, and then bit the same spot he licked. I noticed that the mark was in the same place he nuzzled me earlier.

"Did you nuzzle me earlier to find a good place on my neck for your mark?" I asked.

He shook his head. "Actually no. I just like your sweet scent and that was a good and comfortable place to smell it. I liked that spot so much I marked it." he said proudly.

I laughed at his choice of words. We left the room and passed the unholy door. I'd forgotten about that. 

"Sweet mother of mercy what the hell are they doing in there?!" Gray harshly whispered.

I slapped the back of his head. "Watch your cursing mister. And yeah I don't wanna know. They were doing that since I first woke up in this place. A little before yours and Natsu's fight as well."

Gray looked shocked and disgusted. "Ew they've been doing it for that long?!"

I sighed and nodded.

"Um, you covered Wendy's ears right?" He asked.

"Of course I did! She heard some of it though and got a nosebleed." I replied.

"Come to think of it, you have that metallic scent of blood on you too. Did that idiot give you a nosebleed?!" He asked, suddenly getting angry.

"Gray calm down. You're an ice wizard, you should be able to chill out more." I said.

"Haha very funny." He said, with sarcasm obviously intended.

"Come on lets go already." I grabbed him arm and ran through the rest of the mansion to the outside. I breathed in deeply, loving the cool fresh air I was inhaling.

We walked over to the others and saw Levy and Gajeel. I smirked, remembering what happened. Then I realized I was in trouble the next time Levy saw me. I had kinda forgotten that I left her there without helping her. She may be small, but her punches feel like her fists are made of iron. When the girls saw me they immediately started running towards me excitedly. Levy also saw me, and didn't look happy. She then looked at me again and she immediately smiled and got an excited look on her face like the other girls. I looked at them confused. Levy pulled a small make up mirror out of her pocket and showed me my reflection. My eyes shined in adoration when I saw the mark Gray had left me with. It was a silver snowflake with a light blue devil's tail that was wound around it. To me it looked beautiful. 

The girls were fawning over it, saying how cool and pretty it looked. I saw that Mira was awake as well. Her mark was a white dragon's head with a lightning bolt across it's neck. Levy's mark was a dark gray steel ingot inside a silver flame. I've already seen Kagura's. I looked over at Kinana. She was blushing. We all looked at her. I assumed from the looks the other girls gave her, she hasn't shown hers to them yet. I noticed she was wearing Erik's coat. It was the one that had a long collar. She sighed and took it off, revealing her mark to us. It was a dragon head that was a boysenberry shade of purple. (look it up if you don't know what the boysenberry shade looks like.) The dragon was breathing out a solid violet colored smoke that went from it's mouth to being wrapped around the dragon head. I for one loved it.

"That looks so cool Kinana!!" I said with stars in my eyes.

The others said basically the same thing, and she lost the shy look and smiled. Erik came over to her and wrapped his arm around her neck, stroking the mark.

"See? Nothin to worry 'bout. Told you they would like it." He said smirking.

She blushed at his actions and nodded.

"My prize?" He asked expectantly.

She blushed even harder and gave him a kiss on the lips. The rest of us fangirled and the boys were smirking at Erik. They high fived him when he got back to the group. Yukino and Sting came out of the mansion a few minutes later.
