The Lists

Hey Guys!! So this is my first story of hopefully many! I hope you like it! But, let me just give you some backround first. I know Sophie is unmatchable:( but lets just pretend she isn't. I know it's weird but, fanfiction is always a little sloppy. Anyways, hope you guys like it and make sure to share it with others!!(Also if your not a Sokeefe shipper probably a really bad idea to read this:)) - Livvy

"Well Sophie, are you going to open it our just stare at it?" Edaliane, Sophie's adopted Mother, asked.

"Oh, yeah right. Sorry" Sophie said snapping back to reality. This was it, this little packet would answer so many questions about Sophie's future.

Who would she be with?

Who could she be with?

Would she be a bad match?

Her life would never be the same after this moment.

"Yah know kiddo you don't have to do this. You coud choose not to even look at your packet or swear off dating all together. Honestly, I would love for you to choose the latter option. OW!" Grady, Sophie's adopted Father, howled as Edaliane pinched his arm. Sophie sighed Grady had never been fond of the idea of Sophie dating, and he defintily rocked the overprotective Dad thing.

"Here it goes." Sophie whispered as she opened the lid of the packet.

 She pulled out a stack of papers. The first paper had only one sentence written on the middle of the page.

 Sophie stared at the page to afraid to remove it from it's place on top of the pile of papers that held the names of the people Sophie was aloud to love. What a funny concept the elves had. They thought it would be ok to give people lists to tell them who they were aloud to be with regardless of who they really loved. Sophie had grown up around humans ,do to having been a project created by the Black Swan, so that she would have a different perspective on life then the elves who lived in the Lost Cities. And Sophie had never seen anything like this in the Human world. In the Elvin world people who married someone who wasn't on their match list were deamed a bad match. Sophie's amazing best friend Dex Dizznee had been discriminated his whole life because his parents had been labeled a bad match even though he and his family were amazing and so much fun. Sophie almost hadn't registered for the match since the whole system seemed cruel and unfair but, she was already under a lot of pressure being the Moonlark, Girl who was taken, and The Girl raised by Humans. So she didn't think she could handle the stress of being a bad match. So she had registered when her other best friend ,Biana Vacker, did even though she was a year late. She had been so nerveous ever since the day she left Atlantis that the whole thing would end in disaster but, her friends were constantly reasuring her that everything woud be ok. As soon as Sophie had started to calm down about the whole thing her match packet had arrived. It actually had arrived about a week ago but, she had been to nerveous to open it. Until her parents practically dragged her downstairs and told her that she couldn't avoid this forever.

"I'm not sure about this." Sophie said setting the papers down next to her and hiding her face in her hands.

"I know it can be scary Sophie but trust me nothing bad is going to happen." Edaliane assured her placing a gentle hand on her shoulder and giving it a reassuring sqeeze. Sophie knew Edaliane was just trying to help and it did but, some tiny part inside of her still thought about all the possibiltities. 

What if no one on her list liked her?

What if she didn't like anyone on her list?

What if she would never be fully happy with someone?

Sophie tried to push all of those thoughts out of her mind as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Ok. I'm ready." Sophie said trying to convince herself the words were true as she reached a shaky hand to grab the papers.

But, as she turned the page her eyes widended and she gasped.

"What is it?" Grady asked leaning over to look at the page. He and Edaliane gasped.

Sophie had definitly not see that coming.
