And So It Begins

Happy 2021 everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful first day of the new year! And just for fun part of this chapter will be in Keefe's POV!!!!!!!!! I am really excited for it and I hope you like it. - Livvy

Keefe's POV

Keefe shielded his eyes with his hand as he approached the glittering gates of Everglen with  Biana and Fitz.

"So what are we doing exactly?" Fitz asked as he opened the gate.

"Yeah. Does this have something to do with Foster's lists?" Keefe asked Biana. Sophie had felt really nervous all day. Even when Keefe was leaving with the Vacker's he had felt her dread from across the room.

"You two are going to be opening you matchmaking lists." Biana said making her way onto the property.

"Excuse me? How are you the one who is aloud to decide that?" Keefe asked raising his eyebrows at Fitz who just shrugged in agreement. 

"I didn't. Sophie did." Biana said smugly as she passed by the boys and made her way up the stairs. Both boys froze in their tracks.

Why would Foster want us to open our lists?

Keefe asked himself. That's when he realized he knew the answer but, he just shoved it away and kept moving. They made their way into the house and decided to open the lists in Fitz's room. 

"Wait my lists are at Shores of Solace." Keefe realized sitting on the floor.

"Oh no need to fret. The amazing Ro has saved the day." Keefe's bodyguard said from the other side of the room holding up a package and tossing it over to Keefe.

"Why do you have my lists?" Keefe asked squinting at his bodyguard.

"You never know when it might come in handy." Ro said giving Keefe an innocent smile. Keefe scowled at her.

"Ro why don't you wait outside with Grizel and Woltzer?" Biana suggested. Recently at school the bodyguards had decided to give their charges more space and hide in the shadows, which was mainly because Sophie now had five bodyguards that grabbed a lot of attention. But, at home the bodyguards were always with them, which in Keefe's case could be really annoying.

"No way am I missing this." Ro said with an evil smirk. Keefe rolled his eyes and Fitz and Biana joined him on the floor. 

"Ok, so here is how this is going to work. When I say go both of you pull out your lists and look at them, then I will come look at them and decide what happens next. Got it?" Biana asked arching her eyebrows at them. Fitz and Keefe nodded in understanding. Keefe still didn't completely know why he was doing this but, hopefully he would find out soon enough.

"Ok, three, two, one, go!" Biana said. Keefe pulled out his lists and looked at the first name, and his breath caught in his throat.

1. Sophie Foster(Ruewen)

Keefe didn't know what to say.

But he still felt a small smirk curl it's way across his lips.

"It's her isn't it?" Ro asked matching his smirk, which he quickly wiped off his face.

"Her who?" Fitz asked looking up from his lists. Biana gasped as she looked over Keefe's shoulder then she started to smile a huge goofy grin.

"THIS IS PERFECT!!" She said standing and jumping up and down.

"What's perfect?" Fitz asked craning his neck to see Keefe's lists. Keefe hid them under his arms and Biana snatched Fitz's list from his hands. 

"Give that back." Fitz said attempting to grab the lists from Biana and failing.
