Sophie POV

Get yourself together Sophie told herself He just wants to talk. But, her insides still turned inside out as Fitz sat in the seat next to her.

"So, I got your invitation yesterday." Fitz said not meating her eyes. Sophie blushed and started twisting her hair around her gloved finger, until Fitz grabbed it and held ity in his.

"And, I just wanted to tell you that ever since we ran away to join the black swan I.." Fitz was cut off by someone apening the door and entering the room.

"Sorry I'm late...an I inturrupting something?" Tiergan said as he made his way further into the room.

"No." Sophie said probably a little to quickly. Tiergan didn't look convinced but, he let the matter drop. They proceeded with their lesson where Sophie pretty much did nothing while Fitz worked to get his mind up to her level, which was impossible of course but, he tried his hardest. Sophie tried not to imagine what Fitz had wanted to talk about but, her mind wouldn't start coming up with theories, and each one either made her stomach twist or flutter. Right after class Sophie rushed out so that Fitz wouldn't be able to say anything to her.

Fitz POV

Fitz sighed as Sophie quickly took off before he could talk to her after their session was done. He had been hoping to tell her that ever since he had almost dies in Allvutrre he had realized that he liked her, and he had wanted to do it while they were alone so Sophie...and himself wouldn't be embaressed. But, he had run out of time. He knew he needed to do something fast before Keefe made a move. Fitz had always known that Keefe liked Sophie but, he thought it wouldn't matter since he was to much of a coward to do anyhting(I know that isn't true but that is what Fitz thinks - Livvy)but, since Ro seemed to be team Sokeefe he figured he didn't have as much time as he had hoped for. He hadn't wanted to pressure her into being something she wasn't ready for but, with all the Neverseen drama who knew how long they would have?

As Fitz left the classroom to head to The Universe he thought about what he could do for Sophie to show her how much he liked her. He thought she liked him to but, it was really hard to read her emotions most of the time. When he had reached the hallway his class was located  most of the students were already in their rooms. Except fpr a he blonde disheveld haired boy with ice blue eyes.

"Sup Fitzy." Keefe said nodding in his direction.

"Not much, you?" Fitz asked. Ever since Keefe had joined the Neverseen their friendship had felt a little strained especially when they were around Sophie.

"Eh, just ditching as usual. I am supposed to be in Multispecial studies at the moment but, I figured I should give Lady Finch a break. She's been yelling a lot." Keefe answered feigning concern and care for his Mentor's well being. Fitz rolled his eyes and smiled. That was why him and Keefe had become bestfriends, Fitz was balanced and respected while Keefe was mischevious and adored(but hated by most Mentors)

"Wait a second, has the golden boy decided to ditch one of his classes? Now that is some behavior I can get behind." Ro said flicking one of her ponytails. Fitz just rolled his eyes at her.

"No. I have The Universe right there." He said as he gestured to one of the doors in the hallway.

"What a shame." Ro said with a wissful sigh.

"Hey, so.." Fitz rubbed the back of his neck trying to think of the best way to put this " Whatever happens with Sophie's gala...no hard feelings right? I mean I like her a lot and I think she likes me to so......promise we can all still be friends once we become official and stuff?" The ending came out like a question even though it wasn't supposed to be. Keefe's eyes flashed with emotions so quickly it was hard to keep track of them; hurt, anger, determination, and sadness. Then he flashed a smile.
