chapter 7

"Heyy."
Addison said walking in the guest room I stayed in and sitting at the side of my bed as I looked up from my phone.
"Hey."
"How are you feeling?"
"I have really bad head ache."
"You want me to get you some advil?"
"No, it's fine."
"Let's go eat breakfast."
"I'm not hungry."
"Lexi, c'mon."
"Really, I'm not hungry."
"Okay, but promise you'll eat later."
"Okay."
She left the room and I answered Lynn's, Larri's and John's messages in our group chat where they asked why was Jaden looking for me.

You :
It's nothing, we had really bad argument and I left and didn't answer his calls so I guess he just wanted to find me.

Side chick😛 :
Lex he was worried sick
literally he was almost crying in front of my doors.

King Larri😌 :
Does he know where are you now?

You :
Uh, yeah, but we still haven't talked

Side chick😛 :
Are you going to break up with him?

You :
I don't know.

I just played among us. I wasn't feeling it today. Honestly I don't like being in fight with Jaden at all. But, he started it. I mean, I could've told him the truth but I wasn't going to. He obviously doesn't know, nor I don't think Cooper wants him to. It's none of my business.

There was a knock on my doors.
"Yeah?"
"Can I come in?"
Great. Jaden's here. I don't know what to do.
"Please?"
"Ughh."
I said and he opened the doors, closing it behind him.
"Can we talk?"
I just looked at him and said nothing.
"Please. I'm sorry. I didn't-"
"What you didn't? Didn't mean to accuse me for cheating? You know it doesn't work like that."
"I'm sorry Lexi, I-I, I love you. And I'm sorry if you thought I'd hit you. I would never, ever hit you, nor any woman. I'm sorry. Please."
"No Jaden."
"What?"
"I-I think we should take a break."
"You're leaving me?"
"No, it's just a break. Spend some time away from each other. You can realize if you are going to trust me a-and we both can clear our heads."
"Please Lexi, don't leave me."
He said literally on his knees in front of me holding my hands and begging me not to leave him. It breaks my heart, but I think we really need that. I need it. I can't give all my love to somebody who doesn't trust me.
"I-I'll go and pack some of my stuff, I'm going back to my parents."
"No Lexi, please. We can figure it out. Just please."
"Jaden."
I said, now crying with him.
"We need time from each other, we are ruining each other. I-I can't do it. We'll talk soon, when both of us are ready."
"I'm ready to talk now-"
"But I'm not. I need time."
"O-Okay."
He said letting go of my hands, backing away a bit.
"I- do you want me to drive you?"
"Um- n-no, I-I'll come later."
"O-Okay. I guess I'll g-go now."
"Bye Jaden."
"B-Bye."
He closed the doors and I broke down crying. Dude why does it hurts so much? I didn't think I fell this hard.
I locked my doors. I didn't want to bother Addison and Bryce anymore, so I'll just lock myself untill I don't calm myself and then I'll go.
"Lex?"
"Y-Yeah?"
"Let me in please."
"Just give me half of hour. I'll come out."
"Please don't do something stupid."
"I won't."

I laid in bed for about 20 minutes.
I got up and walked to the bathroom and washed my face, walking downstairs right after.
"Hey, what happened?"
"Uh, I'm going to get my stuff and I'm going back home. To mom and dad."
"Why? You can stay here how long you want, you know that."
"I know, I  just, I need to go there and distance myself."
"What happened?"
"Ugh, nothing, we are on break."
"Oh my God."
She pulled me in for a hug.
"I'll drive you there. Bryce can you go grab a suitcase from upstairs?"
"Yeah."
"No, you don't need to, I'll call Uber, it's fine."
"No, I'm driving you."

We drove to the house, and as we reached to gates my heart started beating so fucking fast I thought it would go out of my chest. She typed in the pin and parked the car.
We walked in and immediately went upstairs to the bedroom.
He was curled up like a ball on the bed, covers over his head. That made my heart break.
"I-uh, I came to pack my stuff."
He quickly wiped away his tears and nodded as I walked in the closet.
Addison helped me pack. I didn't pack everything. I mean he paid for everything anyways, but my fav hoodie was missing.
"Wait, I need to find that hoodie."
I walked to the bathroom and it wasn't there.
"Jaden?"
He looked up at me. He was sitting, his legs straight and just looking at ceiling in front of him playing with his fingers.
"Where's that one pinkish-purplish hoodie? I can't find it anywhere."
"I-uh, I don't know."
He said putting quickly something behind his back. He really thought he was sneaky. I saw it was that hoodie, but I didn't say anything, I just nodded and walked away.
"Doesn't matter."
I said zipping up the suitcase.
"You done?"
I nodded.

"Well, I uh, I packed some of my stuff, you paid for it anyway. We are heading o-out."
"Wait." He said standing up.
"I, I'll help you with suitcase."
"No, it's not needed, thank you."
"W-What about tomorrow?You-you have to go to clinic."
"I'll stay in LA tonight and after I'm done tomorrow I'm going home."
"B-But this is your home."
He said under his breath but I still heard him. Honestly I'm sorry that I put Addison in this situation, she's helping her brothers girlfriend that he is on break with to get her stuff out. I couldn't make it, if I'm being all honest.
"What?"
"N-Nothing."
I nodded and walked out the room, Addison right behind me.

"I'm sorry Addi." I said as we sat in the car.
"Why? You don't have to say sorry for anything."
"All I did is stress you and literally put you in between your brother and his some kind of girlfriend."
"It's okay Lex, really."
"It's not."
"I was not and I still am not in position to choose, cause Jaden told me that I need to keep an eye on you since you don't want to talk to him anymore."
"He really t-told you that?"
"Yes, of course he did. And he knows he fucked up, but he still loves you. And I know you love him, love doesn't fade away just like that. Just, get time for yourself and think about everything. If your heart tells you that you should be together, then be together."
"I will."
We drove back to the house.
"We are going to eat now." 
Addison said after we got in the kitchen.
"What you want to eat?"
"I don't know, whatever you want."
"I'll tell Bryce to buy us Chick-fil-A."
"Okay."
She wrote him in the message what we want to eat and we sat in living room, watching TV.
