chapter 32

"I can't live like this dad." I said as I broke down. I didn't want to do this.
"Don't talk like that JJ. You'll get through this okay? And it's okay to cry, it's okay to be vulnerable. Okay?"
"I can't be weak in front of all of them. Lexi already saw enough of me being a little weak ass bitch. Mom and Addison did too, through the whole life. I can't do it anymore."
"Jaden, you are the one of the strongest persons I know, okay? You went through a lot, your whole life. It's okay, just cuz you are man that doesn't mean that you can't cry. That doesn't mean you can't feel down. You can. We all need to cry time to time. And you just woke up from 10 days long coma. You got shot. Your body is in lot of pain, you know it better than me. And love isn't just sun and rainbows okay? It's a promise that you'll be there with each other, even when it's the worst storm. That you'll help each other to go through it. And do you love your mom, sister and girlfriend?"
"O-Of course I do."
"Do they love you? They do. Did all of them cry in front of you?"
"Y-Yes."
"And what did you do when they cried?"
"H-Helped them, tried to."
"Yes. And now it's our time to help. You got through something bad. And that we could be able to help you, you gotta first let it out to all of us, okay?" I nodded and doctor walked back in the room.
"Here's the advil, I'm gonna pour it in okay? It might feel a bit uncomfortable." I nodded and he poured it in some pipe that was connected with IV.
"Okay, it should start working soon."
"O-Okay."
"Thank you so much." John said and doctor just nodded.
"Next time it hurts, don't touch it okay? Just call us and we'll give you something to help with it."
"Okay. I won't."
"Okay, get some rest now." Once he left the room and closed the doors, John looked at me.
"I'm gonna call Lexi in and you two will go and sleep. If something bothers you, tell any of us. Okay?" I nodded and he squeezed my hand in comfort before walking out.

In few minutes Lexi slowly walked inside of the room. Her arms were crossed over her chest, I could see she was hurt.
"It still hurts?"
"Just a bit." She nodded sitting on the couch. I motioned with my head for her to come where I was laying, patting the bed beside me.
She slowly sat on the bed as I felt a little dip in it.

"Lex I-"
"It's okay Jae."
"No, it's not. I'm sorry. I- you already saw me being weak a lot of times, but this too much for me, and I can just imagine how you feel, and how you felt past few days. I-I don't like showing much how vulnerable I can be. I don't want you thinking that I'm a crybaby or-"
"Jaden I'm in love with you. And I was too vulnerable with you from the start. You just made me feel comfortable being like that in front of you. And crying, or being vulnerable, won't make you less man. Not in my eyes, not for anyone. We are humans, with hearts, and feelings. And sometimes it's too much to handle. So we cry, and maybe scream. But that's okay. And you are- you are in so many different types of pain right now, you need to get it out of your body. And you can't move. So it's good to cry. Okay? It's okay to be in pain, and show that it hurts you. Because I'll be there always and try my best to help you. Okay? I love you, and that won't change any time soon. I'm not gonna leave you. Ever."
Fuck it Jaden. I was crying again. I felt her soft hands go on my jaw and neck as her thumbs caressed my cheeks. She rested her forehead on mine and I put my hand on the back of her head. her left hand touched mine that was on her head, squeezing it.
I cried and cried and cried.
"It's okay baby, we'll get through this." She whispered wiping my tears away as I started calming down.
She kissed me, sliding her tongue in my already opened mouth since I couldn't breathe on my nose anymore.
"C'mon." She grabbed a tissue from the little backpack that was next to the wall.
"That's a little too much, I'll do it myself." I said grabbing the tissue from her hand.

"Okay, now you're gonna go sleep, and if anything happens, it hurts, you have bad dream maybe or anything, you are going to wake me up. Understood?" I nodded and she scooted the couch closer to bed again, laying on it. She interwined our fingers, kissing my hand.
"I love you pretty boy."
"I love you more princess."
"You wish." She turned the lamp off and soon we both fell asleep.

"Jae?" I was woken up by Lexi shaking my hand a bit, calling my name.
I slowly opened my eyes, just to be hit by sun shining on my face through the window, so I closed them again.
"Hm?" I hummed, moving my head a bit.
"Doctor is here to check on you, c'mon. You can sleep again later." I opened my eyes, to see her standing next to my bed, Kevin on her side.
"Good morning Jaden, how are you feeling?" He asked me as Lexi moved out of way a bit so he could come closer.
"Um, I'm good."
"I heard we had a little incident last night."
"Yeah." I said chuckling and he shook his head.
"You really shouldn't of touched it, it could've infected."
"I know, the doctor explained me that last night."
"Does it still hurt?"
"Well, not really."
"Arm? Did you try moving it?"
"She didn't let me." I said looking over to Lexi, making Kevin chuckle.

"Okay, today we're taking IV off so you could eat properly. We'll go check the arm later, and you could also shower if you wanted, with help of somebody, but just take care of your arm and don't wet it much, along with place on your chest."
"Yess, I hate these." I said touching the IV that was right on the side of my bed.
"Okay. This might feel uncomfortable." I nodded and he took it out. Finally.
"I'll put a little band over, it won't take that long for it to get back normal."
"Okay." He put a little band over the place I had pipe stuck in my hand.
"I'll also get you the wheelchair if you feel like you can't walk."
"Thank you so much." Lexi said and he nodded.
She walked with him out the room, half closing doors when they left.

LEXI'S P.O.V.

"So how long he'll stay here?"
"We don't know yet, we'll see how he is doing, but today he is definitely staying here whole day." I just nodded my head in response.
"Oh, do you need those?" Kevin asked a guy that passed by with wheelchair.
"No, I'm getting them back."
"Give me, I need them." The guy nodded handing them to Kevin.
"Thanks."
"No problem."
"Here you go."
"Thank you so much doctor. You don't know how grateful I am for everything you've done for us."
"Of course, I am happy to help out my friends." I nodded my head before he walked away.

I walked back into the room with wheelchair as I placed it near his bed.
"What you wanna do first; shower, eat, drink?"
"Wow, so many options." He said with smile on his face as I chuckled.
"Oh I won't need those." He said pointing to wheelchair.
"Doesn't matter, we need to have them there just in case.
So?" I sat on the side of his bed after moving the couch back next to the wall, "What you want to do?"
"Mm, kiss you." I rolled my eyes playfully leaning in and connecting out lips.
"You don't know how much I missed you and your kisses."
"I did too." I said running my hand through his hair.
"Can I shower?"
"Of course, let's go." I said getting up and moving his blanket off of him while he held his arm that was broken.
"Okay, wait," I ran to other side of the bed, "We're gonna go slowly, tell me if it hurts you." I said helping him get his legs off the bed and supporting him by his back.
