chapter 27

"Hey, um, Stive said he'll pick me up at 3, so, I'm gonna pack my stuff."
"You want me to help?"
"Yeaahh." He said quietly with a small grin on his face, making mr nod my head.
"Okay, let's go." He walked upstairs and I quickly pecked Jaden's lips, running behind Nick.

Well, nothing special happened last night. We walked around city after we got dinner and ice cream and than came home.

"Okay, all packed up?"
"Yupp."
"I'm gonna miss you lil bro."
"I'm gonna miss you too." I gave him a hug before we left the room and made our way down the stairs.

"Hey, I need to leave. Something happened in the office, I'm sorry Nick, I'll see you soon bud." Jaden explained, quickly hugging with Nick and grabbing his jacket.

"Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, everything's fine, I'll be back in few hours."
"Okay, call me if anything happens."
"I love you princess." He said before placing a kiss on my lips.
"I love you too."

He rushed out of the house, and not too long after, I heard gates opening and closing as he left.

"Well, that was a bit weird." Nick stated as we both sat on the couch.
"Yeah."

The day passed by, no calls from Jaden. Nick left with Steve few hours ago and I'm home alone.

I already showered, trying to kill my time, watched TV, played with Marley. But still no calls from Jaden.

I called him multiple times, no answer. It was around 8:30pm, he was supposed to be home a long time ago. And he could've at least answered my calls.

I called Addison, no answer. Called Bryce, no answer. Maybe to call Nessa or other close friends?

I pressed her name in my contacts, waiting for her to pick up. Dammit Nessa. What the fuck is happening?

I, then, called Cooper as he was the only and last hope I had.

Just as it started ringing I heard the gates open. I ran out of the house, in hope that it could be Jaden.

"C-Cooper? Blake?" I stuttered out as I saw them getting out of the car. Seeing their facial expressions made my heart rate speed up. Something's not good.

"Lexi, come in the car, we need to go." Blake said pulling me gently by my arm to the back seat.
"What happened? W-Where's Jaden?"
"We'll explain everything, but we need to go." They got me in the back seat and then sat in car too, before driving off.

I don't know where we are going, I'm dressed in Jaden's clothes and didn't even have my phone with me.

Cooper drove us around the city like some maniac, to building that is unknown to me.

Whole time, they would just say that they're going to explain everything, but never once actually answered my question.

"Cooper what the fuck? Can you guys explain? I was already worried enough. Why no one answered my calls? Where the fuck is Jaden?"
"Listen, some shit went down the hill," As Blake started talking and turned around to look at me I noticed the blood stains on his shirt that I didn't notice earlier because of lightning. My body immediately shivered as he continued to talk. That can't be good, "And it turned out in the literal war. Some of us got shot, but it was not that big of a problem, b-"
"Jaden? D-Did Jaden got sh-" As I was trying to finish my sentence we pulled in parking lot in front of big ass building.
