chapter 34

"Yeah, she was uh, I don't know, um, she- she told me to tell you both that she loves you and that she is so proud of all of us and that she is so happy that you are having kids with a great guy and that, uh, she's grateful for John who- um, who gave us life that we deserved, especially mom." They all just stared with blank expressions on their faces.
"I-I know it sounds crazy, I just-"
"It's okay hun." Amy got up, kissing his head.
"I really want to hug you, but I know I can't." Jaden nodded as Addison held his hand.
"Um, Lex?"
"Yeah?" I looked up to see Josh standing at door frame.
"Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Yeah, sure." I got up and walked out with him.
"What's up?"
"Um, I- I wasn't going through your stuff, but when I was searching for something in your bathroom, Jaden's deodorant and stuff, I, well, I kinda saw your tests."
"What?"
"Pregnancy test. Two of them. Positive."
"Woah woah woah, who's pregnant?" Bryce said loud enough for all the people, and I mean on Nessa, Riley, Vinnie, Griffin, Dixie- everybody, including my parents.
I pressed my lips together as I shut my eyes closed.
"Who's pregnant ?!" Olivia squealed as everyone now looked at us.
"No one is, Bryce heard it wrong."
We all said our hi's and they walked in the room where Jaden was. I could see my parents and siblings faces. Especially Josie's. She knew about it already.
I pulled Josh aside with me.
"No one's pregnant. Don't tell anybody."
"Then what were those tests? I'm pretty sure that's how pregnancy test look like." He whispered back so no one can hear.
"Mine, but I'm not pregnant, okay?"
"Wh- ooh" He put his hand over his mouth, "You aborted it?"
"Y-yeah."
"Does Jaden know?"
"Yes, of course he does. And don't tell anybody else. Understood?"
"Okay, I won't." He nodded his head as we walked back in the room.
"Hey, I'm gonna steal Jaden for a sec to dry his hair. Y'all can also go there in the room, it's bigger then this one." I helped Jaden get up, wrapping his right arm around my shoulder.
"Hey, I'll help him." Bryce said walking to us.
"No, I got it. It's alright." We slowly walked to our room.

"You're so strong baby." I kissed his cheek, my hand caressing his jaw. He smiled down at me softly.
I opened the doors of our room, letting Jaden go in first.
"Okay, you're gonna sit in these, because it will be too long for you to stand."
"I'm not sitting in those."
"Yes you are Jaden, don't act like a baby."
"No, I'm not an invalid! I can stand by myself."
"Okay, then you'll sit on this chair."
"No lexi!"
"Yes you will, no more argument."
"Ugh."
I walked him in the bathroom and quickly ran to grab the chair setting it for him.
"Okay, sit down." I helped him to, and ran to room to quickly clean the mess we made, so it's clean when they all walk in.
"Okay, we don't have our hair products here, but we'll deal with it." I said plugging in the hair dryer, drying his hair.
I half of dried my hair and then put it in two braids, because I was too lazy to do it like I usually do.
"Okay, let's go back in there so you can lay in the bed."

We were messing around having fun, until a nurse walked in the room.
"Hey, Kevin told me to get Jaden so we can go scan his arm and do some tests."
"Okay, I'll go with." I said getting up, helping Jaden get up.
"Okay, let's sit you down here."  Nurse said trying to help Jaden sit in wheelchair.
"I'm not gonna sit in those."
"Sir, it's a long way to go-"
"I'm not sitting in them."
"Jae-"
"Lexi, I am not gonna sit in them. I told you already. I'm not disabled and I can walk. I'm not fucking sitting in them."
"But it-"
"It's okay, he's not gonna sit in them." I said interrupting the nurse and she nodded.
"I'll go with him Lex, you should sit down a bit." Amy whispered to me.
"No, it's fine. I wanna go."
"You were doing everything for him, you didn't get any rest."
"It's okay Amy, I got it. When it's about him, I can."
"Lex really-"
"Just this one, next time I'll let him go with you."
"Are you sure? I really don't want you to stress any more."
"I'm not stressed, it's alright. Really."
"Okay then, just this time." I nodded smiling and helped Jaden walk.
"When you feel you can't do anymore, tell me and we'll take a little break." I said and he just nodded.
We walked in the silence to the elevator.

"There you are guys. Wait, did you walk here?" Kevin asked looking a bit shocked.
"Yeah, we did."
"Why didn't you take the wheel-"
"Because I'm not an invalid. Can we do the tests now?"  Jaden rudely cut him off.
"Uh, sure. You have to lay on this bed here, and we'll be out here while it scans."
He helped Jaden lay on the right place and walked out. Nurse was there with me.
"Uh, I'm sorry for the way he's acting. He isn't usually like that, but he is a bit stubborn. And he thinks only invalids sit in wheelchair. So I'm sorry, to both of you."
"It's alright, I knew he would act like that. This all is too much for him."
"Yeah."

When we finished we walked to the room. I could see he got exhausted, but he didn't say anything.
"Wait," I said stopping him from walking when we reached to some chairs in the hall, "Let's take a break okay?"
"Why?"
"Because I can feel you're getting exhausted you just don't want to say anything. It's okay, we can take a little break."
"I'm not-"
"Yes Jaden, you are. And that is okay, okay? It's alright to feel exhausted."
"I can't do it anymore Lexi." He said breaking down, his head going back hitting the wall.

"Aye, don't talk like that. You are stronger than you think okay? We are getting through this together. We'll get through this." I rested my forehead on his while my hands were on his cheeks caressing them.
"I can't."
"Yes you can. I'll make sure you do." I said as I wiped away his tears.
"Okay, now get your ass up, you're walking to the damn room now cuz you didn't want the wheelchair like every normal person."
"I have my standards." He got up and we walked in the room.
"Just like that, you see you can." I laid him down on the bed handing him the water bottle after opening it.
"Thank you." I hummed, fixing his pillows.
"What did he say?"
"Well, his arm is getting better. Other scars are okay. He said he'll come talk to us later, he had something to do."
"Okay, that's good."
"Yeah."
"Babyy." Jaden whined, pulling me back a bit by my ring finger.
"Hm?"
"I want to cuddle."
"I know, but you know you can't."
"Please, I just need hug."
"Wait."
I pulled up his shirt from his back, there was no scars.
I crawled behind him, wrapping my legs around his lower body so it doesn't hurt him.
"Okay, lay down."

He laid down on my chest and I pulled up the shirt on his stomach to see if there is anything, so I could wrap my arms around him.
I left few kisses on his cheek and head. He turned his head a bit so he'd look at me. He had a big warm smile on his face with his blue ocean eyes looking right at mine.
"Did I ever tell you how much I love you?"
"Hmm, no." I said playing with his hair.
"Well I do. So fucking much."
"I love you too pretty boy." He left few kisses on my neck.
"You wanna take a nap?"
"No, I just wanna enjoy being in your embrace."
"M'kay."

"There you go kids, eat this until lunch. You gotta get in some vitamins."
"Okay, thank you mama." I said as she smiled at me stroking my hair. Gosh, I love Amy. They all became my literal second family.
I put a slice of orange in Jaden's mouth, and out one inside mine.
"Ugh, I hate oranges."
"Nah, you don't. Don't be a baby and eat it."
"Ugh."
We laid there in the bed, eating orange and being in our world. No one really paid much attention to us, nor we paid to them.
Kevin knocked on the doors, stopping me from playing with Jaden's hair.
"Hey guys."
"Hey doctor."
"Can I talk to you guys for a second?" Amy and I nodded in response.
"Wait Jae, I'll be back in the second." He nodded and I got up, helping him lay back down in the bed and walked outside the room with Amy and Kevin. Addison followed after us.
"What happened?"
"Well, I wanted to talk about Jaden. He woke up just yesterday, But I can see he's doing pretty good. And I also know this building irritates him very much. So I thought..."
