Usually after having deep conversations, people would normally feel awkward. However, it wasn't the case for me and Gulf. In fact, I felt that it connected us, bringing us closer.

It was like we subconsciously recognized how natural we felt around each other. Thus explaining how Gulf could open up to me though we only knew each other for less than a day. It was like we are soulmates.

"The fifth level is where Jaebeom, Weizhou, Lin Yi and I stay at when we have to work overnight. Or if there were emergency cases until dawn. Then we catch some sleep here."

The apartment had everything one needed

The apartment had everything one needed. Pans, cups and plates were organised neatly in the cupboards. A few books were stacked on the dining table. Their white coats hung on the clothes rack.

"It is really nice," Mew glanced around, sitting on the sofa. "It gives a homey feel." Feeling comfortable, Mew could feel himself dozing off.

Seeing Mew and his fight against sleep, Gulf laughed. "Just sleep Mew. While you sleep, I can prepare us dinner."

"Okay. Thank you." Mew smiled.

Gulf smiled back before pushing Mew to the stairs leading to the loft. "My bed is the light blue one at the loft. I will wake you up when dinner is ready."

"Yes boss." Mew drawled, grinning while he heard Gulf's laughter below.

---

Mew woke up to the smell of Italian herbs and cheese.

Slowly walking down the stairs, he saw Gulf wearing a light blue apron.

Seeing him in that apron and concentrating on his cooking, Mew felt his heart pound.

He even sticks his tongue out a little when concentrating. Adorable.

Mew rested his head on Gulf's shoulder, his hands behind his own back.

Nuzzling into the crook of Gulf's neck, Mew mumbled. "Hmm. It smells so good. When would it be ready?"

Mew could feel Gulf's skin heat up when his lips brushed against his skin as he mumbled.

"S-soon. So don't distract me." Gulf tried to wriggle away but Mew wasn't going to let that happen. He grasped Gulf's waist, gently yet firm, preventing Gulf from moving around.

"Since you are going to finish soon, can't we just stay like this?" Mew whined softly.

"No. Now be a good boy and set the table." Gulf glared at Mew before turning back to his cooking.

He is like a small baby tiger, feisty yet adorable.

"Okay Gulf." Sulking, Mew let Gulf go, walking to the cupboard.

"But I rather you call me daddy." Mew smirked as he opened the cupboard to get the plates and utensils.

"Mew!"

Aww his face is flustered red.

---

"It tastes so good!"

Mew couldn't stop himself from continuously eating. The spaghetti, meatballs, sauce, everything was perfect.

"Glad you like it." Gulf smiled cheerfully. "My brothers always asked me to make this for them. So I made it for you. But I wasn't sure you would like it."

"I don't just like it. I love it!" Mew exclaimed, tucking into the spaghetti.

"I can make it for you again next time. So you don't have to eat so quickly." Gulf laughed, using a napkin to wipe off a stain from the corner of Mew's mouth. "There is still enough for seconds."

"Okay! Then let me wash the dishes later."

"But-"

"I am not going to take no for an answer."

Bringing his thumb to Gulf's lips, Mew wiped some of the sauce that was at the corner of Gulf's mouth. Afterwards licking his thumb.

Gulf simpered, eating his food, his ears slowly turning red.

Mew smiled in victory, finishing up his food before going to the sink.

---

"Here is the leftover spaghetti and meatballs that you asked for." Gulf handed Mew a bag containing a tupperware box that Gulf used to store the food. "Remember the stuff I told you for Chopper's recovery process."

"Okay." I don't want to leave Gulf yet.

"Here is my number. Contact me when Chopper's next check-up is due so that we can schedule an appointment." Gulf wrote down his number on a light blue post-it, handing it to Mew.

Mew tucked it into his shirt-pocket above his heart.

"Okay." I was probably smiling stupidly but all I care about is the thought of meeting Gulf again.

Ensuring that Chopper is comfortable and secured, Mew placed the bag at the front.

"I am going to miss you Gulf." Whispering in his ear, Mew hugged Gulf tightly.

Gulf hugged Mew back, chuckling though he felt his heart being heavy.

"You are going to come back for Chopper's follow-up appointment anyway."

"But can we call at night?" Mew suggested. "Chopper's appointment is in two weeks. That is too long."

Gulf's warm brown eyes softened, flecks of gold twinkling. "Okay Mew."
