"Hmm..." Gulf was about to wake up and stretch. It is a morning habit of his.

However, he felt his arms trapped.

Opening his eyes, Gulf found himself face to face with a sleeping Mew.

Gulf glanced down and realized that Mew had wrapped his arms around him. Locking him in a tight embrace. Mew's embrace was warm, and his big, strong arms seemed very protective when wrapped around him.

'Don't move around much in my sleep' huh.

Being so close to Mew, Gulf realized that his observation of him yesterday as just any another handsome guy did not do him justice.

Mew was an Adonis, other men paling in comparison.

He had tousled dark brown hair, which was thick and lustrous. He is well defined, with a sharp jaw and angular cheekbones. His pale skin making him look devilishly handsome.

Those looks should be made illegal.

Gulf took in small details. Like how his pale skin beautifully contrasted against the jade-like veins that snaked up his muscular arms.

How his scent, a mixture of cedarwood, sandalwood, red pepper berries and rosemary, is so intoxicating.

How his muscles are defined. With their bodies pressed close, Gulf could feel the outline of his abs.

Mew groaned, breaking Gulf out of his daze. His eyes fluttered open.

They were hues of the forest, surrounded with dark moss. It was the kind of earthy green that revives the grass after a cruel, unforgiving winter. Interwoven shades hiding the chaotic nature behind. Never before have eyes held such danger and beauty all at once. He was a wild fire: reckless, untamed, yet undeniably captivating.

Smiling sleepily, Mew's eyes softened. Pulling Gulf closer, Mew mumbled against Gulf's neck.

"5 more minutes." His deep, husky voice sent shivers down Gulf's spine.

"Baby boy! Gulfie! How come you are so early?" The door to Gulf's office burst open, Lin Yi walking in.

"Hold on. Who are you?" Lin Yi paused when he noticed Mew, his eyebrow raised.

"Hello sir. I am Mew. Mew Suppasit." Mew got up, bowing a little to Lin Yi.

"Mew Suppasit?! The CEO of MSJ Corporporation?!" Xu Weizhou came barreling into the room. Surprised by the loud shout, Lin Yi accidentally spilt coffee on himself.

"Hey! Watch it! Look at what you have done now." Lin Yi smacked Weizhou's head, frowning at the coffee stain on his white button-down.

"Calm down. Both of you." Jaebeom walked in, smacking both Lin Yi's & Weizhou's head lightly with the folder in his hand.

Turning his attention to Mew, Jaebeom coldly stared at Mew. "Mew Suppasit. May I ask why you are here?"

Mew stood before Jaebeom, not the least bit intimidated by him.

"I lost my dog, Chopper, and went out to look for him. I stumbled upon Chopper and Gulf together. Chopper was injured. Since it was early in the morning, with no pet clinics or hospitals open, Gulf suggested to bring him to his clinic. So Chopper and I ended up here."

"Then why were you in bed with Gulf?" Lin Yi interrupted, eyes blazing.

These overprotective brothers...

Gulf got off the bed, standing between Mew and his brothers.

"Chopper is going to undergo Closed Reduction treatment. Since it requires the use of general anaesthesia, I planned to carry out blood work to determine Chopper's ability to withstand anaesthesia as part of treatment. As you all know, blood work requires gentle fasting. Since it takes some time, seeing Mew was tired, I let him use the bed in my office."

"Then why were YOU in bed with Mew?"

"I-I-Anyway, I haven't introduced you all to each other. Mew, these are my brothers. Xu Weizhou, Lin Yi and Jaebeom. I have five more brothers." Gulf changed the subject, averting his gaze away from his brothers.

Mew stepped forward, smiling fondly at Gulf. Gulf felt himself melting under Mew's gaze.

Mew gently pulled Gulf to his side, facing Gulf's brothers seriously.

"Gulf let me use his bed and he was going to use the couch. I would have switched with him but he would only protest. So I took the bed. However, noticing how tired he is, I shared the bed with him."

Lin Yi's eyes brows raised. "Then why were you hugging him?" Lin Yi questioned Mew coldly.

"What the fuck! You hugged our baby boy?!" Weizhou growled, stepping forward ready to rip Mew apart.

Jaebeom stopped Weizhou, motioning Lin Yi to hold Weizhou back.

Nodding, Lin Yi swiftly hooked his arms under Weizhou's. Trying to free himself and lunge at Mew, Weizhou moved around, dangling from Lin Yi's hold like a small kid.

Gulf would have burst out in laughter at this sight but he was too nervous.

"Even though me and Gulf have known each other for only a short period of time, I will cherish him, protect him, give him the respect that he deserves. Because he deserves that and so much more. I won't do anything that is against his or any of your wishes."

Weizhou was about to protest but Lin Yi swiftly covered his mouth. Weizhou turned around, shooting daggers at Lin Yi, his protests muffled. But Lin Yi paid no heed, nodding to Jaebeom to do what he thinks is appropriate.

Jaebeom walked closer, scrutinizing Mew.

Mew didn't flinch or cower under Jaebeom's sharp gaze, coolly staring back at Jaebeom.

After a few minutes (which felt like years to Gulf), Jaebeom took a step back.

"I can see that you are sincere. And I know that you are a man of your word. So I will let this go.

But if you were to hurt Gulf, if any of us were to see a single tear from Gulf, you are a dead man." Jaebeom said sternly to Mew, his hold on Mew's shoulder tightening.

Gulf glanced worriedly at Mew. Jaebeom's strength is no joke. The pressure on Mew's shoulder must hurt like hell.

However, Mew showed no hint of anything unusual. "Of course." He winked at Gulf with those twinkling emerald eyes.

"Good." Jaebeom smiled at Mew before turning to Gulf.

"Then how about you show Mew around our clinic?" Jaebeom suggested. "Lin Yi has to change his shirt, I have a surgery to carry out and Weizhou has an appointment right about...now." Jaebeom glanced at his watch.

With those words, Weizhou stopped sulking. Glancing at his watch, he muttered a few profanities. "Fuck I'm late! But don't think this is over!"

Seeing Weizhou dash out of the office, Lin Yi walked up to them, giving Mew a pat on the shoulder while he ruffled Gulf's hair.

"I would give you both a hug but that idiot spilt coffee on me," he sighed. "Well, I got to change my shirt before my appointment. See you all another time." He smiled, casting a wave before walking out of the door.

"With that said, show him around Gulf. Moreover," Jaebeom grinned, ruffling Gulf's hair too. "He will still have to prove himself but at this rate, he might become our future brother-in-law. So might as well let him learn how things work around here."

"Hey! Don't tease me!" Gulf pouted, patting his hair down.

"After carrying out Chopper's blood work and treatment, I will show Mew around."

Checking the mirror to see if his hair is tidy, Gulf frowned when it was still like a bird's nest.

"Plus, we aren't even boyfriends."

As soon as those words left Gulf's mouth, Mew's face came into view while Gulf was still looking at the mirror.

Leaning closer, Mew whispered into Gulf's ear with that husky voice of his.

"Whoknows what the future holds Gulf."
