Chapter 7 ( Special Task)

The boss office

As I was about to enter the office room, my boss is standing behind me and what shocked me he's wearing a lot casual than his formal attire. I wonder where is he going with that Hawaiian shirt he has on. Then he started talking to me.

"Hey Je Soo?? Earth to Je Soo???" He waved at me. My face was blank. " Huh? Owh yes boss?" I replied. " Do you love the attire that I'm wearing today" he said with a smirk. I just ignore his smirk and complimented his shirt.

"Yeah boss. You look nice on this shirt. Anything happened that you suddenly wearing casual in the office? You almost scared the hell out of me!" I said.

"Owh nothing unusual. Just casual monday blue to brighten up my days! Plus I had an amazing night with my friends last night at the bar so yeah you know what people do in the bar right Je Soo?" He asked me as though I don't know what a bar is. He maybe thinking that I only know a bar that is like a shape of rectangle or a chocolate bar. Pfft I almost role my eyes when he started pushing me into the office with an excitement plastered on his face.

"Boss slow down why are you pushing me???" I said until I fell my face down on the floor. "Ouch, my face...🥺" I said while giving my face a pat to see if I had scar or something but thankfully I didn't.

"Opps sorry Je Soo yah...you're so slow that's why I have to push you.. haha sorry about that here let me get you some wet towel and some tea. We have something big to discuss" he left to search for the things and me on the other hand groaned in pain because of the fall.

I shouldn't be this blur my gosh what's up with me?? I think I heard too much story from those three girls. I should have ignore them. Almost everyday, they always have some tea to spill even if it s just a small information. I wonder where they got that information from.

"Alright here some wet towel and strawberry tea!". My boss came back with the things and started discussing with me.

"So Je Soo I think you may have heard the news going around this office right?" I look at him confused and then he continued. " As you know...wait don't tell me you don't know?" I just nodded my head because I have no idea what news is going around again. Wow I'm so blank until I look like an idiot in front of my boss.

" Alright then I will tell you. I wanted you to interview this one popular guy that the girls are crazy about" he said.

"Is he a celebrity? Politician? Could it be famous author?" I asked. My face that was once excited to know who I would interview turned frowned when my boss said this.

"Nope. No.... and no...he is a serial killer" he said with smirk plastered on his face. I was shocked and couldn't believed my eyes.

"What??? W....whyy... Why me??? There's so many people in this office are crazy to interview him!! Please can you just let me go this once? I...I can't..." I said while my tears started to fall.

My boss look at me sadly but then happy when he said this " Look Je Soo, you're the only person that I can trust on getting that information. If I asked them to interview him, they will end-up falling for him. I don't want to risk that".

"What if I fall for him?" I asked.

"Well why not? Hahahaha" He laugh all the way while I cross my arms.

"Je Soo you're so smart but at the same time can be blur". He said while handing me the documents about the serial killer .

I didn't take the file on his hand and keep begging " please I don't want to do this!!" I begged him so many times until he started to threaten me.

"If you don't want to do this I have no choice but to fired you. Your job is on the line here! If you're not doing what I told you to do there will be consequences. I will give you more time and you just focus on his interview. Plus you don't have to worry about other things. I'll handle that for you" he said with a smile and hand me the file.

" O..ooo..okay boss. I'll do it." I took the file and leave the room. I walk out of the room and mentally started cursing to myself. Man if I didn't say no in the first place, things will not be difficult. Why Je Soo whyyy did you have to say no when you never say no for all your life???

I gather my stuff and I sighed for a while before coming up with some question to ask him. Hopefully everything goes well and I can leave this nightmare for good.
