Sasuke had a content smile the entire time he stared at Ayame. The majority of the time she had her back to him, and his smile soon curved into a smirk when she turned to look at him suspiciously.
"Either keep your eyes on my back or above, or don't look at me at all," she ordered, scowling.
Sasuke chuckled. "I can't help myself."
"You think it's okay to stare at my behind?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Of course it is; you're mine. But if any other guy looked at you, they'd be killed."
Ayame rolled her eyes.
"Did you just roll your eyes at me, Miss Yamato?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes I did, Mr. Uchiha." She smiled at him teasingly, before turning back to the fridge.
"That's dangerous, you know. If a lady rolled her eyes at a gentleman who was quite clearly above her in status back in my time, she'd be punished."
"Oh, not this again," Ayame grumbled. "And plus, we're not in your time."
"I still find it entertaining to enforce the old rules, however," Sasuke said, dropping his chin into his palm.
"You're not punishing me, Uchiha." Ayame said, humming to herself as she made her way to the stove.
"Oh?" Sasuke asked, making her jump when he suddenly appeared behind her, his arms around her. "Are you sure about that?" His voice lowered to a whisper, placing a kiss against her throat.
"Y-yes." She said boldly, closing her eyes. "I said that you weren't going to last time, and you didn't."
"Because you slapped me and stormed off." Sasuke reminded.
Ayame smirked, as if remembering the moment fondly. "But you're not doing it this time."
"I can punish you how and when I want," Sasuke growled, his arms around her waist tightening. "You can't stop me."
"Oh, I think I can," Ayame was smiling playfully.
"No, I don't think you can," Sasuke shook his head, humming as he started swaying them back and forth.
"Oh, but I can."
"I don't think so."
Ayame giggled, "Are we really going to argue like children?"
"You started it."
"Oh, God, just like children!"
Sasuke chuckled, before whispering softly into her ear, "We're not alone,"
"Huh?" Ayame blinked, looking up at him. His eyes flashed towards the door, to which she looked over his shoulder. Her cheeks darkened when she realised Rika was standing in the open doorway.
She knew just what this looked like to her older sister; Ayame, wearing her slightly too-short shorts, and loose t-shirt, Sasuke looking as if he'd most definitely spent the night, and the two of them sneaking around in the morning before the rest of the family had woken up.
'Oh, holy crap...' Ayame thought, swallowing a heavy lump in her throat.
Sasuke released her, taking a few steps back and standing awkwardly out of the sisters' way. They were looking at each other in silence. This had happened quite a few times in his time, but each time, they'd been guilty of what the family had guessed. This time, however, they weren't. He kept his head down, hoping not to have to get involved.
"So..." Rika began awkwardly. "Who's this, Ayame?"
"T-this is Sasuke-kun," Ayame said softly, looking down. "It's not what it looks like, I swear..."
