Parker's POV:

I woke up, sweaty and alone. I glanced around as I once again woke up on the bed in Ryan's room instead of the couch. My body was still shaking and wracking with aftershocks from sobbing. I needed something with sugar to try to combat it. I dragged myself from the bed and stumbled out of the room. The shaking was making everything harder. I let my wolf bleed through so I could hear in case I had to hide from anyone on the journey to wherever the hell the kitchen was. I had made it to the stairs when the door across the hall opened. I froze. My eyes darted around as I tensed and looked for a place I could hide, coming up short.

"Baby, where are you going? You're shaking."

My body automatically untensed at the sound of his voice. I watched him as he rushed to me, flinching away from him when he reached out to me. He withdrew his hands.

"Where are you going? Your brother and parent's are in my office."

"I ne-need something with sugar." I stuttered out.

"Okay, I'll mind link someone to bring you something. You shouldn't be walking around while you're this unsteady."

I nodded. "Okay."

"Can I help you to my office?"

I shrugged. "If you really want to."

He gently placed his hands on my hips and guided me towards his office. I stumbled over my feet going through the door and he caught me before I could face plant.

"You okay?"

"Yeah. Just can't walk apparently."

"You've had an emotional day, you always get shaky and can barely walk after a panic attack."

My head snapped up to face Derek, Violet, and my parents.

"Well if someone hadn't told them to put me in a cell, I wouldn't have had a panic attack." I mumbled, too exhausted to fight.

"If someone had stayed with you it wouldn't have happened. I told Carla she couldn't leave you alone."

"I was panicking while she was standing there but when she left it got worse."

"I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault, Der. I tried to run." I shrugged, being lowered into Ryan's chair behind his massive oak desk.

"It is. I told them to do it."

"But they wouldn't have if I hadn't lost my cool and ran."

"Why did you run?"

"I was pissed I was brought here without permission and didn't get to say goodbye."

"And you were alone when you woke up so you didn't know we were coming." He stated.

I nodded. A knock sounded on the door and Ryan's Beta, Carter, walked in with a glass of juice and a granola bar. I thanked him when he handed it to me before he took his own seat. I drank some of the juice as they got started on their meeting. They were obviously going to have a treaty being that I was Derek's brother and Ryan's mate. I zoned out, my wolf slipping away as I ate. I finished with the juice and the granola bar when the desk vibrated with someone's knock. I looked up and my eyes widened as Ryan started signing to me.

*Hey, we are finished here if you want to shower or just hang out with your family for a bit we can.*

*You know sign language?*

*Carla's friend is a deaf human and is over a lot so I learned how to sign to communicate better with her.*

*Oh, that's nice.*
