Scared.

Julia's POV

I was typing away and started to work from home, and so far it's going so smoothly. Seto took Preston to work this morning, and I made sure to pack an extra outfit and some toilet training things to help him, and food, bottles, etc. Which was really nice so I could have a small beak. Though, I did forget to do one thing; call Keith Ingram, Joshua's father. I sighed and checked the time on my phone, which read 10:30am, the day after the office surprise. I saved my data and decided to call him so I can just see what he wanted. 

"Hello, Julia." His voice made me cringe in a way, only since his son was literal garbage. 

"Hey, sorry I didn't call yesterday. I was spending time with my family." I told him as I leaned back in the chair, and holding a framed picture of my future husband that was once sitting on my desk. 

"No worries at all. How are you?" I smiled a little as I placed the photo of Seto back on my desk and hoping he would be home soon.

"I'm alright, just working from home now."

"Oh, that's nice. Are you still working under Seto Kaiba?" I started to think real quick, because Keith didn't know I was working at Kaiba Corporation. 

"I am, yes. Did Joshua get the chance to tell you?" Keith let out a small chuckle and sighed, now I was only prepared for the worst. 

"You're alone right now, right?" I swallowed, and my anxiety started to rise. I walked up and locked my office door. 

"I am, why?" I replied, in almost complete panic making sure my windows are locked. His chuckle made me really uncomfortable and there was no way I was going to make myself calm down. Thank goodness Seto has my son, I don't want him in this mess.

"I have my eye on you."

Seto's POV

"Kaiba." I answered my office phone while holding Preston's sippy cup, making sure he drinks it all. 

"Mr. Kaiba, this is Keith Ingram speaking. Do you have a moment to talk?" Keith?

"I do have a moment. Who are you?" I know Julia was talking to me about him yesterday, he's Joshua Ingram's father. I wonder what the hell he wanted.

"Just wanted to talk to you is all. I have some questions about Julia Williams." 

"What about her?" I started to have a very uneasy feeling about this, so I set Preston down and made sure he was holding his bottle upright and not spilling it all over the floor.

"She lives with you, correct?" 

"What's in it for you to know where my fiancé lives? Come on, you should know better than to ask something like that. If you were as close as she made you guys out to be, then you would already know." I hated to admit that I started to get worried about Julia. She was at home by herself. 

Mokuba was subbing in for a lead in my development department since the main lead is taking a vacation day so he couldn't be home and Julia was so eager to try out her new home office.

"Ah, so you didn't deny her living with you. Plus, you guys are getting married? Oh man, I didn't think she would do that with her own boss. She wasn't even there for 2 weeks and you guys are engaged. I hope that doesn't put baby Preston in danger now, what do you think Seto Kaiba?" What?

"What do you mean, danger?! He is fine, and if you think you can try to split the relationship I have with Julia, you are wrong. Within a couple days, Preston called me 'dad'! Much more impressive then your son, Joshua."

"Oh, you know my son then? The one who got Julia pregnant. I'm guessing you're the one who killed him, hmm?" I sighed in annoyance. This was clearly pissing me off. I did not have time for games or foolish sayings.

"As long as he is not in Julia's life anymore, it doesn't matter to me whether he's dead or not. But, I have no times for games and silly questions. Do you know how stressful it can be being a CEO of the largest gaming company in an entire country?"

"Oh, um.."

"Exactly. You don't. Preston and Julia are my family now. Do not think about tearing us apart or so help me God, I will end you too." 

I hung up the phone immediately. I was done, so I called Julia since I was still worried about her. 

"Seto! Seto!" She screamed on the other line, and there was some other people in the background laughing. Shit, this could not be happening! "Seto, help me!"

"Julia!? Julia, where are you?!" I yelled hoping to get an answer. I felt my heart in my stomach, my chest was aching. Something was wrong, badly wrong. 

"Ha, Kaiba. If you want you girl back, then let's play a game." More games?!

"What did you do to my wife?! Put her on this instant!" I stood up in my chair, and didn't stop yelling on the phone. "I have no time for games! Where is my damn wife!?!" The voices in the back kept on chuckling and giggling, making me cringe. Preston then looked at me with worried eyes, and ran to me, hugging my leg. 

"Daddy, why are you crying?" I was crying? I used my other hand and felt my cheeks, there were the tears. 

"Oh, you have Preston Michael Williams as well with you? Please, bring him with you. We will be at the dock in 20 minutes. Don't be late." 

Dial tone.

Hey guys, I'm so sorry with the short update. I wanted to try something different and leave y'all with a cliff hanger. Did I do an okay job with it? I know my plot and paragraphs need more work, but I'll be working on that in upcoming chapters! Thanks for reading! Author's note in the next chapter!
