Previously...

"Family is more important." She told me, chugging her milk and cleaned out her cup in the kitchen sink. "Family is more important than work. It's more important than anything, besides yourself." Julia put her glass in the dishwasher, and started it right up not even having a full load in there.

"Julia-." I started, but she just ignored me as she took Preston upstairs into his room.

A few moments later, I heard a door open and I look up the stairs to see Mokuba walking out of the room and closing the door behind him. He made eye contact with me and put his thumbs up, so I could go back up there to see what else he had done to Julia's new home office.

"I think we should add in those child things from her old office at Kaiba Corp, that would be so cool for her to have!" Mokuba cheered, asking me.

"True, but in case she comes back to Kaiba Corp they might as well stay there." Mokuba shrugged, and smiled still.

"Do you think she'll like it, big bro?"

"I'm sure she will." 

Julia's POV

I sigh as I put Preston in his playpen.

"Mama, you're sad." He pouted out to me with a small frown.

"Yes, sweetheart. I am, but that's okay." I smiled at him to reassure that everything was going to be fine. I gave him his stuffed Blue Eyes White Dragon that Seto got for him during my first day on the job and I turned on his television, putting on Paw Patrol. 

ding ding

I looked at my phone to see a text message from someone I didn't expect a message from; Keith Ingram. Joshua's father. 

I got the news in America about Joshua. Call me when you get the chance, preferably when you are alone.

 My heart was aching. My stomach turned, this was not going to be good. I swallowed and sent Keith back a message.

Sorry, Keith. I am a little busy right now. I have a son to take care of and I work a lot now. I don't know when I will have the time to call you. Is texting okay for now?

I was so bothered by this and I couldn't help but feel a few tears fall. Keith helped me out when I was pregnant, he got my baby shower put together because Joshua was lazy and didn't want to be a part of this. He bought Preston so much baby things, like new born diapers, teething toys, etc. and he got into a fight with Joshua, making the contact between us dismiss. So, of course with his son now dead because of my fiancé, he texts me. Great. 

I sighed once again and wiped my face clean of the only few tears that made it passed my cheeks. There was then a knock on Preston's room door and the knob started to turn. I stood up and made sure I looked okay so Seto wouldn't have to worry. When the door opened fully, there was Seto's tall figure, walking into Preston's room. 

"Mokuba and I have something special for you." I pulled off a small fake smile and walked over to him, hugging him. I couldn't say anything, because I knew I was going to cry. New stress is coming. "What's bothering you?" He placed one of his arms around me and he used his other hand and lifted my chin up, so our eyes met. 

Hurt was plastered all over his face.

"I-" I began, then a couple tears fell again. I knew it, I shouldn't have opened my damn mouth.

"You, what?" Seto asked me softly, but yet sternly. He kissed my forehead to assure me and I quickly pulled out my phone.

ding ding

It was another text message from Keith. I opened it even though Seto was right there. It read;

That's fine. Just call whenever.

Seto saw it and looked at me funny. 

"Who is that, Julia?" He asked me, and I just tried to calm myself down before I felt like I was going to cry again. I took a big breath, and said,

"Joshua's dad. He texted me the first time since I was pregnant." His expression did not change, but I could tell he was bothered by it. "Don't worry, this is the first time he tried contacting me." I sniffled.

"What did he want?" He demanded, not helping the fact of my anxiety being all over the place.

"He just wanted to talk, Seto. He found out about Joshua getting murdered." Seto pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily.

"Great. Now I guess I have to stay here and work from home once again to keep you safe?" I chuckled, then shook my head.

"No, honey. Keith won't come here. He actually helped me out a little bit when I was pregnant since his son was a piece of garbage." I kissed my fiancé on the cheek before walking passed him.

"So, what's this surprise you and your brother have for me?" 

Seto's POV

When I saw Julia walk right passed me, she had one a small smile, but something didn't feel right. 

"So, what's this surprise you and your brother have for me?" She cheered out, but something still bothered me about her talking to this Keith person. 

I looked back into my son's room and he was sitting there playing with my favorite duel monster while watching his show. He seemed pretty entertained, even though I left his door opened so we can hear his cries when he needs something.

I caught up to Julia, who was almost to Mokuba's room. 

"Babe." I told her as I wrapped my arm around her waist.

"What?" We stopped walking and I turned her to face the other door. I live in a mansion, there's so many doors. 

"Open this door." She got a hold of the knob and slowly turned it, pushing it to open the room door so she can see her small home office.

"What?! This is amazing!" She cheered, walking into it and examining everything. Julia was speechless. "Why, Seto? Not complaining one bit, this is awesome!" I leaned against the door frame and I smiled at her. 

"So you are protected. I promise I would protect you, so I made your home office with Mokuba's help. Though, everything in your old office that is needed for Preston still needs to come here, including his changing station." She was smiling, a real smile and it felt good knowing I was able to do that.

"Seto, thank you." Julia got up and we met halfway in the room, hugging each other.

"I love you, babe." 

"I love you, too." 

We shared a strong kiss, that ended up going into the bedroom we shared.
