"You showed me love when I wasn't feeling it, you helped me fight when I was giving in"
You smiled leaning back against his chest, "Where to next? The Louvre or the Luxor Obelisk?" you asked, looking over the bustling street of Paris. It was Spencer's annual break from the bureau, and France was one of the few places he had been. "Whatever is less crowded" He replied, holding you close to him, his arm wrapped around your waist.
"Well you are in luck, I know just the place, only locals know about it, I believe" You hummed, feeling Spencer release your waist and interlace your fingers with his, "Lead the way, little one" He spoke, a soft chuckle falling from his lips as you dragged him down the street.
You took a couple more turns, soon emerging in an enclosed park with a few kids playing, couples tucked away underneath the trees. "It's not touristy or grand but you didn't want anything crowded," you rambled off, looking back at Spencer's expression hoping he liked the park that you frequented when you lived in the city of light.
"Hey, it's perfect" he reassured you, squeezing your hand lightly, "But you have to tell me how you found out about it" he countered, following you across the park, stopping as you sat down on the grass underneath one of the trees.
You patted the spot next to you, taking in all of the memories that took place here "Hm, well I was pregnant with Bella and I just wanted a quiet area to go to that was out of the house. So I just walked around and I found this little spot, it became one of my happy places." You explained, looking over at Spencer as he sat down. "So I would come here to find peace in the quiet"
You leaned your head on his shoulder, waiting for his response "Hm what are some of your other happy places if I may ask?" He wrapped his arm around your waist, looking down at you "Your apartment, that's a definite one. Mm, the Smithsonian art museum, and the coffee shop in vegas, you have no idea how many times I went there after you left."
"They do have the best coffee," You laughed at his remark, "Mm, in vegas maybe but not the best coffee I've had" He gasped at your answer, "I'm offended, who has the best coffee?" He turned to look at you, "Because it definitely isn't here, coffee in Paris is extremely weak and bitter"
"London has the best coffee in my opinion, and I'm not changing that" You answered, laughing softly at his expression, "That hurts, it really does" his tone laced in mock offense. You rested your head on his shoulder, "Mm, you'll change your mind once you have coffee from London, maybe Emily will bring you some"
He laughed softly, looking down at you "I love you, little one. Let's agree to disagree" You smiled nodding at his words "I love you too, Spencer." you nuzzled closer to him basking in the old memories of the park while making new ones with Spencer.
He looked over at the little play area in the center of the park, watching the kids play as he held you close to him resting his hand on your stomach. You sighed a content smile tugging at your lips as you remembered what it was like to watch Bella play on that same playground.
