"I'm done with all this silence, Russian roulette romances"
"I swear to god, don't even try and tell me that you love me anymore." You screamed as you looked over at the man across from you.
"I do love you, Y/N, you just disappoint me" His words stung, they rang true over the past year, he would always say that he loved you, but his actions proved otherwise.
"You don't love me, you were going to fucking kill me a year ago. If you loved me you wouldn't have cared if anything fell apart, your name wasn't mentioned, you didn't go to jail. Be fucking grateful" You seethed out.
"Oh don't you even fucking start that shit, you brought that on yourself, princess. Now let's ask the most important question, did you even love me?"
You scoffed as you looked back at him "No I decided to stay with someone for 9 years even after they started beating me, for fun." Sarcasm dripping off of your words, "Of course I fucking loved you, but you've given up on me. So I'm sorry but leave me the fuck alone."
"You're going to fucking regret this princess" You rolled your eyes "If you don't leave now, I'll tell Interpol everything, all about you and your fun games" He shook his head "Of course, tell Spencer I said hi"
You sighed, leaning against the front door after he left. It had been about two months since you started to talk with Spencer, he would always be there to support you but he didn't fully understand why you always stayed.
Your mind raced with thoughts about what could happen to you now. The only thing that distracted you from your thoughts was the sound of your phone ringing. Emily Prentiss. "Em, I don't feel like going out" Emily sighed "Please come on, I need to talk with you, just meet me there please" You groaned softly, "Fine, I'll be there in 20"
You looked up at the bar, not wanting to go in and face your old friend. "Here goes nothing" you muttered to yourself as you entered. You forced a smile as you looked over at Emily, giving her a small wave. The lady motioning for you to come over to her.
You looked over, seeing six other people surrounding her, rolling your eyes as you made your way over. She knew that you didn't want to go out. "Emily I swear to god, why couldn't we just catch up-" You whined as you got in earshot of Emily, keeping your eyes on the floor.
Emily cut you off "Y/N, I wanted to introduce you to my old team, I was about to fill them in on everything with Interpol" "Don't bother Em, I called it off-" Your voice halted as your eyes met with the similar hazel ones, you had grown to find comfort in, in the past 2 months. "Y/N, I didn't know you were Emily's friend" Spencer started not even acknowledging your previous words.
Emily looked back at you "Wait, why? We were so close." She started, "Can we talk in private" You cut her off, not wanting to explain anything in front of Spencer. You couldn't explain it, not yet, not after all of these lies.
She gave you a curt nod following you outside, "What have you told them? Spencer doesn't need to know anything about my past, trust me he's been trying to find out. Your old team doesn't need to help me. Interpol is doing just fine, granted I don't even want Interpol still in this. I've been beaten and degraded too many times over this past year Emily, all because of Interpol. They couldn't fucking wait until they had enough to take Devin down too?"
Emily blinked a couple of times "Why didn't you tell me he was beating you? I would've helped you out of it, you didn't have to go through all of that alone" She whispered going to comfort you,
"How? You would've dropped everything in London to come and help me? Emily, I could take it for the first couple of times, if it meant I lived, but fuck I haven't been able to, I've been trying to gather enough courage to break it off, and I'm terrified even after I did. You don't know what that's like, Doyle went to prison, I get it he almost killed you and I'm not taking that away from you, but Devin was going to do the same to me either way, if I stayed or if I left."
"That isn't fair, you didn't reach out for help. Don't blame me for not noticing when I'm in a different country" She defended
"So much for being a fucking profiler, Spencer doesn't know half of the shit I've been through and yet he still has fucking asked if I'm okay, and told me that he's always there for me. He still fucking picked up when I needed to talk to someone. You went through the same shit with Doyle, he fucked you up but you didn't even care to check up on me when I'm going through the same shit for twice as long. Emily don't tell your old team anything, I'll tell them when I'm ready, you hid Doyle from them, don't bring up my shit."
"And look what happened to me because I hid it? I almost died as you said, I regret that to this day, we can save your fate. Let me help you since I didn't before. You said you were terrified, let me stay with you tonight to make sure you're okay, let me introduce you to the team, let me at least tell Spencer, so he can make sure you're okay." Emily cried out, her words dripping with regret.
You sighed turning around to head back into the bar, "Sure Em help me out, but let me explain it to Spencer in a couple of days. I can't right now, not after all of the lies I've told" You muttered to her as you returned to the bar.
"So pretty boy, tell us more about her" You let out a soft laugh as you returned to the table "Pretty boy? It fits" Your words surprised Spencer, "Uh, thanks" he murmured a slight blush forming on his cheeks.
"First, I have no idea who any of you are. Second, what do you want to know? " You smiled softly as you looked over at the BAU
Emily returned to the table after she composed herself, "That is Derek Morgan, the 'badass'" She said sarcastically to you, earning a laugh from you and a scowl from Morgan, "Nice to meet you" you spoke softly, smiling as you listened to Emily introduce the rest of the team.
"If you won't tell us about your involvement with Interpol, tell us something about him," Morgan asked softly, you rolled your eyes "Let's just say he definitely isn't like you guys"
"So ugly?" You looked over at Emily, "How big is his ego? Morgan, I don't usually go for looks, but I was with him for 9 years, he's not ugly" You laughed softly. "His morals are different than most people in law enforcement."
"You were with a criminal for 9 years?" Spencer asked, shocked at the news. "His rap sheet doesn't really show that, abuser for sure, but criminal not really"
"That's cause no one has ever had enough to tie him to anything. Now a different topic please" You whispered, looking over at Emily to help change the topic.
"It's getting late, we should be going y/n" Emily lied as she looked around at the team. "I'll see you later Spence. I'll try to explain it more, but not yet." You uttered, before saying goodbye to the rest of the team.
A shiver ran up your spine as you entered your apartment. Emily gave you a soft comforting smile "Hey it's gonna be okay, I'll be right here the whole night" You nodded slowly "Thank you, Em" you whispered as you looked down at the floor. She pulled you into a hug, letting you fall apart in her arms. She whispered soft comforting phrases into your ear as you cried. You missed having your best friend there for you.
