"Lovin' you was easy, Lovin' you was wild, unpredictable, Lovin' you was awful"

You sighed softly as you walked into the BAU. You promised Spencer that you would explain, and you knew that the team would need to know to. Spencer tilted his head to look at you "What are you doing here, love?" You took a deep breath before speaking in a shaky voice "I'm ready to explain everything, everything that he's capable of, and everything that happened in those 9 years"

Spencer had gathered the team in the conference room, you bit your lip looking over the team that you had met the night you had broken it off with Devin. Spencer gave you a soft smile, that smile seeming to calm your nerves.

"So what exactly do all of you know about my relationship with him. What has Spencer told you?" You started, "I've only told Morgan and Garcia found out on her own" Spencer reassured you about the secret he held.

"Okay, so I met Devin Archer, in 2005 at The Black Shamrock. Emily had me go as the new informant for the IRA, I didn't have any alias or backstory. So Devin knows every single thing about me." You revealed, watching for the team's reaction.

"Devin had taken over for Doyle, he would control everything from behind the scenes, it was rare if he took someone's life himself. At least when he was with me, the only time he did was if someone touched me, or tried to-" You took a deep breath before continuing "fuck me. I was 20 and I somehow ended up being his queen."

"He treated me like a queen don't get me wrong, I swear you wouldn't have known that he took over for Doyle. Whenever it was just us, he would always hold me, and make me feel like the only girl in the world, he would sing to me whenever I was homesick. He taught me how to play poker. Don't even get me started on his accent" You let out a soft laugh, looking down at the floor as you spoke.

"My life was a perfect little fantasy for the first 8 years. That was up until Interpol had enough on the IRA to take almost everyone down, they acted on it. Let's just say he didn't take it that well, that he had to rebuild everything. I remember his exact words when he found out I was the snitch. 'You know what you're fucking problem is princess? You can't keep your fucking mouth shut, you're so fucking lucky that I love you. Or else there would be a bullet through your skull.'" Tears welled up in your eyes, as you recited his words, wiping at your eyes with your sleeve.

"So that's why you put up with the abuse" Spencer muttered under his breath, "We needed to start a new life, so we left London and moved here, it wasn't a pure coincidence that we ended up in the apartment above Spencer's. Emily wanted to make sure I was safe, especially after he threatened to kill me, so she had us move in above him."

"At first, he would only degrade me, and make me question my self-worth. I could take the empty threats and violent words, hell I took the first few beatings if it meant he wouldn't kill me. I knew what he was capable of, he's capable of the perfect crime, nothing sticks to him."

"I always knew that he could kill me if he wanted. I prayed every night that the man I fell in love with was going to return. The man that sang to me when I was sad and held me close." You sniffled softly as a stray tear ran down your cheek "I knew I couldn't take it anymore, I knew he was going to end up killing me either way. I just needed a reason to leave"

"Sure you might think that I could use abuse as my reason, but he would always say that I brought it on myself, that I deserved it. Technically I did if you look at it from his perspective. He finally fucked up, he cheated on me. It fucking sucks saying that I left him because he cheated, not because he abused me or that he was going to kill me."

"Don't you ever think that you deserved it. You are worth so much more." Spencer reassured you of the phrase he almost always told you when you were unsure if you were worth more than the abuse. You gave him a small smile in thanks, before clearing your throat. "That's about it, if you need more I'm sure Emily would be more than willing to send the files Interpol has."

You felt the team's eyes on you, but you couldn't face them, you barely could handle Spencer knowing about your past. You couldn't handle the sympathetic looks, wanting to fix you or help you.

Staring at the floor up until you felt a pair of arms around your frame. "It's gonna be okay, if you ever need to talk, I'm always here no matter what" you heard Garcia whisper as she hugged you. "Thank you" you murmured, returning her hug softly.

Garcia smiled sweetly at you, rubbing your back before returning to her chair. Spencer wrapped his arms around your waist, placing a soft kiss on your forehead "Enjoy your weekend, love." You looked up at him in shock, forgetting the confession you made earlier that morning. "Please don't tell them about her"

He smiled "I won't tell a soul" his words reassuring you. "Tell me all about it when you get back though, hopefully, I'm not on a case"
