❃ Evangeline ❃

Plastering an amiable smile on my face, I turned to face Aaron once more.

Once again, the sparkles around him were just a tad bit too much.

My smile started to shake, I felt like laughing.

In my previous life as a famous actress, I have seen my fair share of handsome men and beautiful women.

Though many knew themselves they were handsome and beautiful, they tried to downplay it by complimenting the other party half-heartedly. However, for Aaron, it was different.

I could see it in his emerald eyes.

He was just screaming “I know I look good” and “you know you want to say yes to my deadly charm” or “am I not too...perfect?”

Those were the exact words he was portraying with his eyes and expression.

That’s not good.

I couldn’t laugh now.

Even though I wanted to leave the harem, I wanted to leave on a good note.

I did not want the male lead to come running to me again in the future, and bring along the troubles his role had in this world. I wanted to live a peaceful life as the Evangeline I never could.

Moreover, I did not want to provoke the wrath of anyone in his harem.

Most of them had offensive abilities, or were even vampires.

I had nothing to defend against them, if I were to be targeted.

“Eva?”

“Oh sorry,” I fixed my smile, taking out my wallet from my handbag. “You are in urgent need of money, yes?”

I knew very well Aaron desperately needed money now.

He probably skipped dinner.

Poor thing.

Even though Evangeline did not want me to continue becoming a sugar mommy, it’s not like I could abandon someone who is just hungry for food.

I unzipped my wallet, taking out a black card and placing it on Aaron’s palm that was stretched out to me.

“Here.”

“Thank you--”

“There is 300 million in this card, use it however you like.”

The hand that held the card started to tremble violently, and Aaron only shot his head up, staring at me wide-eyed.

“Th-three hundred--”

“Yes.”

“Th-th-three--”

“Yes.”

“Three hun-hun-hundred mi-million--”

“Yes.”

I flinched back at the adoring gaze in Aaron’s emerald eyes.

It seemed like he was looking at me like I was an unlimited piggy bank now.

He wasn’t wrong.

Evangeline was just filthy rich.

300 million? She could easily earn three times the amount back just as easily.

I took the card back, and Aaron seemed like a puppy with deflated ears. His eyes gazed longingly at the glossy black card in my hand.
