❛CHAPTER FIFTY ONE
prepare for war❜

˙·✧──·✦·──✧·˙

WHEN PERCY woke up that next morning in Shell Cottage, he couldn't help the small smile that graced his lips. Opening his eyes and the first thing he sees is the sleeping face of Hermione, he had thought it was a dream, that everything that had happened the night prior was just his imagination. But it wasn't, and that was something that made the males smile grow as his eyes traced over the sleeping figure of the person he loved with all his heart.

He never thought it was possible for someone like him to love someone else, or have that person love him the same. It was something he never thought of in his life until he first discovered he had feelings for the woman sleeping besides him. A part of him didn't want to believe that it was real, to believe that a person like him could ever be loved. Maybe it was that part of him that was treated terribly by Elijah since he was born, or maybe it was that part of him that thought a monster could never be truly loved.

Percy didn't know, all he knew was that there was a voice always in the back of his mind making him believe that he didn't deserve love or happiness. It was a sad truth about him, but one he had, though he didn't want to soak into those type of demons in his head, instead he wanted to focus on the present, something he hasn't done in a very long time.

"Good morning." Percy whispered after he watched Hermione's eyes flutter open when she woke up.

"Good morning." Hermione replied, slightly blushing when she saw that he was already awake. "Have you been awake long?"

"No, not that long." Percy answered in slight amusement, noticing her flushed face. "You look beautiful."

Hermione blushed at his comment as she dipped her head done in slight embarrassment, causing Percy to let out a breathy laugh. She pulled the comforter and sheets that layed over her closer to her body as she tried to become small, something that was clearly amusing to the male lying besides her. Before she could react to his next movements, Percy pulled the girl closer to him, allowing her to barry her face into his bare chest.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you so flushed this morning." Percy apologized, placing a kiss to the top of her head, something she whined at.

"Yes you did." Hermione grumbled, something he laughed at once again.

"Okay, maybe slightly." Percy half agreed, making the female push him away, which made him laugh once again.
