❛CHAPTER FOURTEEN
triwizard buddies❜˙·✧──·✦·──✧·˙
PERCY WAS following behind the other champions to the Trophy Room, his mind racing as he was trying to comprehend the fact of how his name was placed into the Goblet of Fire, the piece of parchment that had his name written on it was clutched in his hand. When he walked into the room, he immediately leaned up against one of the walls and rubbed at his temples, clearly trying to comprehend everything that has happened in just a short amount of time.
His eyes stared down at the parchment, his eyes on the letters of his name, scrawled out on it. His mind was racing as his eyes stayed glued to the words, barely hearing the approaching arguing coming his way. He didn't realize what was happening, until Dumbledore suddenly grabbed his shoulder and dragged him towards where Harry was standing, who stumbled back in fear from the older man's obvious anger.
"Harry, Percy! Did you both put your name into the Goblet of Fire?" Dumbledore asked, grabbing the boy's shoulders and looking them in the eyes forcefully, his anger evident.
"No sir!" Harry quickly answered, stumbling over his words as Percy only nodded his head.
"Get one of the older students to do it for you?" Dumbledore pushed, and once again the two shook their heads. "You're both absolutely sure?"
"Yes sir." The two said, making Dumbledore ease his grip on the two slightly.
"But of course they are lying!" Maxine suddenly pushed, rushing into the room and hitting a lantern out of her way.
"The Goblet of Fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object only an exceptionally powerful confundus charm could have hoodwinked it! Magic way beyond the talent of two fourth years!" Moody suddenly stated, taking a stand besides Dumbledore who was processing his information.
"You seem to have given this a fair bit of thought, Mad Eye." Karkaroff suddenly began accusing, walking over to the man.
"It was once my job to think as dark wizards do, Karkaroff. Perhaps you remember?" Moody asked, eyeing the man who eyed him back.
Dumbledore ignored the two though as he quickly made his way over to Crouch who was seemingly thinking and debating about the events that had just occured. "I leave this to you, Barty."
