A few days had passed since our family dinner and I cringe at the memory of walking downstairs with flushed cheeks and thoroughly fucked. My Mum thought I had a fever and Grey's smirks from beside of me while I tried to tell her that I was fine was futile.
We split then, us women heading through to the sitting room and the men to the pool area. Everything seemed fine until my Dad came barrelling through to say that Jase and Grey were fighting. I did ask my Dad if anything was said between them but he just told me they were having a quiet chat and then the next moment they were throwing fists.
I was put in a sticky situation, who do I go to? My brother or my boyfriend? Both of whom I love. The moment I got outside I quickly sided with Jase, his poor face was cut and bruised. Greys didn't have a scratch.
Was it the best decision? I'm honestly not sure. Neither have mention what the argument or fight was about and Grey is still angry that I rushed to Jase's corner.
Of course I told him that he was being silly because I judged on the scene before me and I wouldn't see either get hurt and Grey didn't seem hurt in the slightest, which is why I helped Jase.
Grey was angry when we got home and he didn't stay. He had Maddox come and pick him up and they went to the hotel that the rest of the guys were staying at. I'm still angry that he left. In situations like this we should be able to speak about it but clearly that wasn't the way forward with Grey.
He came home the following night but barely spoke to me at all apart from mumbled statements. He went to his study with his laptop saying he was busy with PR stuff for the rest of the tour and that's how it's been since.
Me sitting wondering what I have done wrong and him working away, working so hard that he can't even come to bed at night.
I placed my coffee down with a sigh as I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, it could only be one person. I sent a text this morning asking for him to call me to speak about the fight, Jase.
"Morning Ems." Jase sighed down the phone.
"Morning." I mumbled back taking another sip of my coffee, it was 6am so the caffeine was definitely needed.
"He speaking to you yet?" He grumbled out causing me to sigh.
"He had a name Jase." I lightly snapped, "What happened?" I lightly demanded, if Grey wasn't going to tell me then Jase could.
"You need to be careful Emily."
"I need to be careful?" I laughed confused.
"What you have with Grey is it real?" He asked quietly but I'm not sure if it was the big brother act or genuine concern.
"I love him." I told him truthfully hearing silence on the other end.
"Does he love you?" He continued.
"What's this about Jase? What does declaring our love have to do with a fight between you both?" I grumbled out.
"Everything." I stilled at that.
"So this fight was because you don't think he loves me? Really Jase?"
"No it's not that." He sighed.
"How hard is it for you to tell me what the hell happened? If you want to help then.."
"Grey is playing a game." He almost forced out which caused my nose to scrunch in confusion yet again.
"Have you been drinking?" I laughed lightly.
"Look Emily I done something to Grey that I shouldn't have, I'm not proud of it." He told me quietly but I already knew what he was speaking about, Grey had told me.
