They slowly entered the lab, seeing textbooks stacked on top of tables and microscopes littered next to them. Goggles hung on the wall, located next to multiple lab coats and safety masks. Masane looked around and saw test tubes and vials placed gently on the tables as well and noticed different chemicals and reactors labeled scientifically along shelves.

But what stood out to Masane, was how there was a bookmark placed in the textbook on top, about shock collars.

"Hey guys?"

"Yes, miss Kioyoko?" Yumiyo answered softly.

"I think someone already used this lab for us."

"Why do you say that?" asked Rigen.

"Cause theres a bookmark labeled 'Shock Collar.'"

"What's it say?"

"Shock Collar, notes: part one.

This specific model increases in intensity and power of shocks and can have several collars shock at once when remote is activated.

Made from an indestructible material and complicated layering of insulation and wiring, exiting to the back of the collar. From the back of the collar, wires are almost invisible and inserted into component's internal structure, such as animal, item or person.

It seems the only way to dislodge the collar from the component's internal and external structure is to have the one who placed the collar and inserted the wires to press the dismantle function on the remote mentioned earlier in text.

Otherwise, the shock collar is unbreakable and will not malfunction. Any contact with the element known as water will cause hydro electrocution. And if extremely cold component is shocked, the component will be met with increased pain and damaging of internal varieties."

"So theres really no way to get these things off?" Rigen questioned.

"Not unless whoever is controlling that Shockbolt takes them off themself." Yumiyo summarized.

"You know what this means don't you?"

"What?"

Masane looked unsettled as she realized what it all meant. "Someone created these collars in this lab, meaning they were in the school at one point. Also they left it open to this specific page, meaning they knew someone would find it. Which can only lead me to believe the person who made these collars and the one who is controlling Shockbolt, is in our group here at the school."

"Holy crap! This gal's already figured that out already?!"

Masane spun around to be met with Shockbolt standing on the table, grinning.

"Exactly what the heck is going on?" Yumiyo questions softly.

"Well, checkers, lemme tell ya. The one in charge of me, as princess here just said, is in your little group. I can be a boy, girl, whatever. And let me give you one little hint. Not everyone is your friend, sweetheart!"

With that, Shockbolt gave a chilling laugh and gave Yumiyo a push, although she did get caught by Masane. Rigen glared at the robotic animal.

"Who are you exactly? Why are you doing this?"

"I'm a friend, a foe. Your greatest helper and your worst enemy. I'm the person you trust and the person you hate. I'm everyone and no one, all at once. You figure it out.

And as for why? That's a secret of course!"

With a terrifying giggle, Shockbolt disappeared into thin air, leaving the trio in the desolate lab.
