Shizuka Nasu and his twin brother lived with their mother and father in a nice orderly home. Although after coming home one day, Shizuka came across some of his brother's bullies kicking and beating the heck out of his brother.
Angry beyond belief, Shizuka yelled for them to stop but as one last hurrah, one of the older boys lit up a nearby explosive to mask their escape. However in doing so, they completely deafened the younger Nasu brother.
Distraught, Shizuka carried his brother to his nearby car and drove them to the hospital. As he sat in the waiting room, he continuously worried over his brother. He waited the whole night until the doctor spoke with him and gave him the worst news for his brother.
Chim Nasu was deafened for life now.
All because some punks wanted to bully him, and were too cowardly to face the consequences of their actions.
From this, Shizuka chose a course of action. During the day he'd work hard at school so he'd get good grades and at night he'd work a gig as a dj to earn money for his brother's hearing aids.
Amongst doing so, he earned himself the title of being the ultimate dj. Eventually he was offered a chance to go to Hope's Peak Academy but he he'd hesitated. He didn't want to leave his brother but Chim Nasu argued that it was a once in a lifetime experience. Chim also argued that he would be safe while staying with friends.
With his brother's go ahead, Shizuka decided he'd go on to Success Granted High School for a better future. Both for him and his brother...
