Part X: Tatooine

{3rd Person} {Small Time Skip, On Tatooine}

"How did I get into this mess? I really don't know how. We seem to be made to suffer. It's our lot in life." Threepio said. Threepio and Artoo walked, small dusts of sand kicking up behind them. The small blue and white droid beeped a reply to the golden one.

The two droids were stuck out in Jundland, otherwise known as "No Mans Land." It was a part of the desert, where the rugged mesas connected to the tune sea. Their escape pod was buried half way into the sand.

"I've got to rest before I fall apart. My joints are frozen." Threepio said, Artoo replying with a string of beeps.

"What a desolate place this is." Threepio muttered, Artoo suddenly whistled and made a sharp right turn. He heading towards the rocky desert mesas.

"Where are you going?!" Threepio yelled out to the other droid. Artoo 

"Well, I'm not going that way. It's much too rocky. This way is much easier." Threepio argued. The small blue and white droid countered with a long whistle like beep.

"What makes you think there are settlements over there?" The golden droid questioned as Artoo continued to make a response by beeping.

"Don't get technical with me!" Threepio said dramatically. Artoo whistled once more.

"What mission? What are you talking about? I've had just about enough of you! Go that way! You'll be malfunctioning within a day, you nearsighted scrap pile!!" Threepio yelled at Artoo.

He kicked the smaller droid before starting to head out towards the dune sea. Artoo made a rude sound, replying to his friend. Then he too headed off. Only Artoo kept heading to the towering mesas.

"And don't let me catch you following me for help, because you won't get it. No more adventures, I'm not going that way." Threepio said, the first part being directed to the smaller droid. Artoo just beeped in response, still heading towards the distant mountains.

{At the power station}

Biggs, Luke and Jaydin walked, drinking a malt brew. The rest of the group that had been there before, was now inside working on something.

"... So I shut off my power, shutting down the afterburners and came in low on Deak's trail..." Jaydin remembered hearing Luke say before getting lost in thought. She was thinking about the vision she had seen that one time, the one of her father dying.

"Jaydin!" Biggs and Luke said at the same time, trying to get her attention.

"Huh?" She said, snapping out of thought. Jaydin felt something wet on her face, so she wiped it off. She had started crying as she had been lost in though about her father.

"Hey, what's wrong? Why were you starting to cry?" Biggs asked. Jaydin just looked down and took a deep breath in.

"It's nothing. I feel as if my father needs help though. I'm going to go see if he does. It was nice seeing you again First Mate Darklighter. I'll see you later Luke." Jaydin said and downed the last of her malt brew. She then hugged Biggs and Luke before walking away, barely giving them any time to say something to her.

Jaydin ran and ran, heading for the home that her father shared with her. She ran as fast as her legs would carry her. Jaydin felt as if she was trying yo out run the Dark Side and Darth Vader. She knew something was wrong, that the ships up in the atmosphere were not all that good.

{Desert}

There near the four Imperial stormtroopers, was a half hurried lifepod. The same pod that the two droids escaped in. The four troopers walked around, looking for anything that would help them.

"Someone was in this pod. The tracks go off in this direction." One trooper called out the the rest. A second one comes up and picks a piece of metal out of the sand.

"Look sir. Droids." The second one said, handing the metal piece to the first stormtrooper.

A/N: Hi everyone sorry got the long wait. I've been having a bit of writers block with this chapter(that's why it's kinda short, sorry). Anyway thanks for just over 100 reads.
