"Who's she? She's beautiful." Luke said, intrigued by the princess' beauty.

"I'm afraid I'm not quite sure, sir." Threepio said.

"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope." The hologram of the princess said once more.

"I think she was a passenger on our last voyage. A person of some importance, sir- I believe. Our captain was attached to..." Threepio said, clearly uncertain but Luke wasn't really listening.

"Is there more to this recording?" Luke asked, reaching his arm out to Artoo. Said droid whistled and beeped, not wanting to show more of the message from Leia.

"Behave yourself, Artoo. You're going to get us in trouble. It's alright, you can trust him. He's our new master." Threepio scolded the small blue and white droid. Artoo looked at Threepio and began whistling and beeping a long message to the golden droid.

"He says he's the property of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a resident of these parts. And it's a private message for him. Quite frankly, I don't know what he's talking about. Our last master was Captain Antilles, but with what we've been through, this little R2 unit has become a bit eccentric." Threepio translated.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi? I wonder if he means old Ben Kenobi?" Luke wondered out loud.

"I beg your pardon sir, but so you know what he's talking about?" Threepio questioned.

"Well I don't know a Obi-Wan, but old Ben lives out beyond the dune sea. He's a strange old hermit. And his daughter, she's kinda strange too. Comes around sometimes and then disappears to their home for a few days. But she's a great friend to have around." Luke explained what he had known. He gazed down at the hologram of the beautiful princess for another moment.

{Kenobi Homestead}

Jaydin stood in front of her father, both of their lightsabers were ignited. The glowing blades giving off a little more light than what they were originally working with. It's buzzing was the only sounds that seemed to fill Jaydin's ears and the air around them.

For a while they just stood there before actually begining to start working on swinging the lightsabers. Her father was trying to get Jaydin used to the feeling and weight of the lightsaber.

"I'm doing it! I'm really doing it Father!!" Jaydin exclaimed happily. Ben nodded quietly, smiling at her encouragingly. Neither noticed the suns setting.

By the end of her first practice, Jaydin was covered in a thin coat of sweat. Her father had gone as rough on her as he could without hurting his beloved daughter. They both lowered the lightsabers as they extinguished.

"I'll be in there in a moment, I just want to recollect myself." Jaydin explained, handing her father the lightsaber hilt. He looked up and nodded before going into the house.

Jaydin carefully sat on the small sand fence like barrier. She took a few deep breathes. She was watching the Tatooine twin suns set behind a dune ridge. Unbeknownst to Jaydin and. Luke, they were watching the suns set together, before doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. Once they finally hidden behind the rishe, Jayfin stood up. She dusted herself off and went inside.

{Lars Homestead}

Luke stood outside the small homestead, his foot propped up against a hardened pile of sand. For a few moments he watched as the twin suns set behind a distant dune ridge. The suns causing the sky to be a pink, purple and slight blue ombré.

He finally went back inside the doomed homestead. Luke headed to the garage, seeing the two new droids no where in sight. On his utility belt was a little control box, just like the Jawas had. A low hum fills the air after he activated it. Threepio let out a short yell from behind the Skyhopper starship.

"What are you doing hiding there?" Luke asked as Threepio stumbles out of the hiding spot. Artoo was still nowhere in sight.

"It wasn't my fault, sir. Please don't deactivate me. I told him not to go, but he's faulty, malfunctioning; kept babbling about his mission." Threepio explained, beggingly.

"Oh no!" Luke groaned. He ran out of the garage, Threepio following behind. The horizon was darkening as they scanned the landscape for the small R2 unit.

"That R2 unit has always been a problem. These astro-droids are getting quite out of hand. Even I can't understand their logic at times." Threepio complained.

"How could I be so stupid?! He's nowhere in sight. Blast it!" Luke exclaimed.

"Pardon me, sir, but couldnt we go after him?" Threepio asked.

"It's too dangerous with all the Sandpeople around. We'll have to wait until morning." Luke explained to the golden droid.

"Luke! I'm going to turn the power down for the night!" Owen yelled up from the homestead plaza.

"All right, I'll be there in a few minutes! Boy, am I going to get it." Luke said, directing the first part to his uncle. He took one last look across the dim horizon before starting to head back in.

{The Next Day, Desert Wasteland}

Luke leaned back in his speeder. He began to adjust something in the motor compartment.

"How's that?" Luke yelled over the sound of the speeder and wind.

Threepio made a signal that it was fine. Luke nodded, popping the canopy shut. He then turned back to the wind whipped cockpit.

"Old Ben Kenobi lives out it this direction somewhere. But I don't see how that little R2 unit could have come this far. We must have missed him. Uncle Owen isn't going to take this very well." Luke said.

"Sir, would it help if you told him it was my fault?" Threepio asked, wanting to help his new master.

"Sure. He needs you. He'd probably on deactivate you for a day or so.." Luke said, clearly having brightened up at the idea of blaming it on the golden droid.

"Deactivate! Well, on the other hand if you hadn't removed his restaining bolt..." Threepio said, not liking the idea of being deactivated for even a day.

"Wait! There's something dead ahead on the scanner! It looks like our droid.... Hit the accelerator." Luke suddenly said, changing the subject.
