{3rd Person, 5 Years Later, 13 BBY}
Jaydin sat on the rug that was om the floor of the main room. The rug was made from Jerba skin and was the best thing to sit on during playtime. She was playing with a few toys her father had been able to find when trading with Jawas or at Mos Eisley. Her father was currently outside, trading with some Jawas or working on the moisture collector for the farm.
The little girl set down one of her dolls and stuck her hand out. She shut her eyes tightly, clearly trying to focus on something. Unknown to her, the doll lifted up into the air, maybe just an inch or two, but it still had lifted off.
Jaydin had been told stories of the Jedi by her father since she could remember. And every time he told her one, it was always different. Her favorite being one about Anakin Skywalker and where he was from.
Little Jaydin set down the worn out dolls she was playing with and ran outside. She had heard it drop on the ground as she thought of the story. Her bright blue eyes flickered around the front side of the home before she went towards the back where the moisture farm was
"Daddy?" The small child called out to Ben. Jaydin's long blonde hair flowing out behind her as she ran as fast as her little feet would allow her to. She ran to the back and saw her father working along side a few old droids.
"Daddy?" Jaydin called out, fidgeting her fingers. Ben looked up from something he was working on and smiled at her.
"What are you doing out here sweetie?" Ben asked, fidgeting about the weirdly shaped metal cylinder that he was working on.
"I want to do something Daddy. I'm bored of playing with my dollys everyday." She said, ignoring her father's question.
"Okay come on. I want to see if you can do something alright?" Ben asked as he walked up to his daughter. Picking her up and carrying her back to the house.
"See if I can do what Daddy?" Jaydin questioned. A confused expression on her face as they walked in the door. Her father just smirked, not saying anything and set her down. He sat on the couch and looked at her.
"Sit down Jaydin. I've told you almost every story of the Jedi but one. This story is about Anakin Skywalker and his master Obi-Wan Kenobi. They were very close and were very good friends. Obi-Wan even considered Anakin his little brother." Ben said as he rested his arms against his legs.
Jaydin was starting up at her father, letting the words sink in. Then she looked down at the floor, her eyebrows ruffled in confusion. Then she looked up at her father, her held tilted slightly.
"Wait Daddy, isnt our name Kenobi? Are we related to Obi-Wan?" She asked, almost butchering their last name along with her father's real name.
"Yes our last name is Kenobi, Jaydin. However I am mot related to Obi-Wan Kenobi. You are though. You see I am Obi-Wan Kenobi and you are hid daughter. That is how I know all of those stories of the Jedi." He said.
"Really? Do you have the Force?" Jaydin asked innocently. Her big blue eyes were wide.
"Yes I do have the Force. See?" He said as he lifted one of the girl's dolls up effortlessly. The girl gasped and clapped happily watching her doll move around and in front of her.
"Do I?" She asked as she slowly reached out and grabbed the doll, clearly amazed by what just happened. She lifted her head and stared at her father, almost matching blue eyes looking back at her own blue eyes.
"Try it. I feel that you might. Just try and believe alright?" He said, fully aware that she did. The girl set down the doll and stared at it, trying to move it. Her smiled at her concentration.
"Don't try so hard. Just relax and clear your mind. Focus on the doll." He said, causing Jaydin to stop and look at him.
She nodded and closed her eyes focusing on the doll. She also seemed more relaxed. The doll slowly began to rise again just like it had when she first did it. She slowly opened one eye slightly to see. Then she gasped.
"I did it!" She squealed, losing focus and having the toy fall back down. She jumped up from the floor and jumped on her father. He wrapped his arms around her, hugging her.
"That's right. You did. Now you want me to finish the story?" He said as he stroked her blonde hair.
"Yes please." She replied. He nodded and sat her on his lap, before beginning to tell her the story of him and Anakin.
That was how the father and daughter spent the rest of the day. Having Jaydin practice focusing and trying to lift the dolls while her father watched or told her stories of the adventures he went on across the galaxy. Well at least until Jaydin fell asleep listening to her favorite story, the one where her father and Anakin were fighting in the Clone Wars.
