i was in my kitchen talking to my parents when i get a call from-i'm not surprised-bella
hey what's up? i ask
hey...i was wondering,do you maybe wanna go somewhere with me real quick? she asks kinda unsure
uhhh yeah sure pick me up? i ask
always she responds and hangs up.i look to my parent who were already looking at me expectingly "uhhh bella just asked if i wanted to go somewhere with her" they both nod "i also want to apologize for the things i said and how i always complained about my brother never being home" i look at them and they both have small smiles on their faces "it's alright honey"my dad responds and my mom nods her head in agreement i felt relieved and returned the smile after that i heard her truck before she blew the horn

"sooooo where are we going?" before she can respond i see the cliffs up ahead "bella-" i warn but cuts me off "okay. i know what your thinking-" "apparently not because we aren't turning around" she sighs "it's the only way to see him" i groan "bella i think there are more ways to see him you might just have to understand they might not come back..like i did" i said the last part lowly mostly to myself "i know,i know but just please for me? you don't even have to jump" before i can say anything she stops the truck and gets outs i sigh exasperated and get out to follow her.by now she already had her shoes and jacket off getting closer to the edge "bella please!" she turns to me before turning back and jumping in "BELLA!" i scream and run over the edge and see her come up for air,relief washes over but comes back as she gets knocked down by a huge wave "she is lucky she's my best friend,like my sister! i swear she's gonna get me killed one day" i mumble to myself before taking off my shoes and hoodie and sprinting over the edge. my body hits the freezing water and i start looking for her. my eye catches brown hair and i swam to her,grabbing onto her arm and trying-key word-trying to get us up for air but we both get knocked down by another set of waves.i'm too focused on bella i didn't see the locks of orange hair getting closer to us and by the time i made eye contact with her it's too late and i hit my head on a rock and that's the last thing i see.

i slowly open my eyes and choke up water and having a fitting cough i look up to see a relieved jake and a soaking wet and pale bella he brings me into a hug "thank god your okay" he mumbles into my shoulder "hey take them back to their place i gotta get to the clearwaters" sam says standing a little ways from us "what happened at the clearwaters?" i mumble "harry clearwater had a heart attack" at this i go wide eyed"my dad and charlie are at his place" "is he okay?" bella asks,jake shakes his head "he didn't make it...he's gone" at this my eyes water i wasn't close to him-not really but i was close to leah since she was pretty much the only girl around to hang out with and i wasn't always close to seth but but we had our moments "sam!" he turns to me "take me with you please" he nods we arrive at harry's and there's a whole bunch of people surrounding their house i hop out the truck and sprint inside and barge through the door,i ignore the stares from people and just search for one person.the one who needs me most.leah. i spot her in the corner by herself until we make eye contact i nod my head to the stairs and she follows until we're inside her room she stares at me for a few seconds before it all comes out.i rush over to hug her and we just fall to the floor sob after sob wracks her body and she drenches my shirt but i didn't care i let her because i'm the only person she opens up too like this.people think she's a tough rock but you crack her and she's so gentle,soft,and broken that's what we have in common hard on the outside,shattered on the inside "i can't believe he's gone" she says through the tears calming down a bit "i know.and i'm not gonna sympathize and say it's gonna get better because it's bullshit but you gotta put up with it and you always have me here with you to help you" she nods her head taking deep breath's see that's another thing i like with us,we don't baby it we put it how it is wether the truth hurts or not.after a few more minutes she calms down and she get dressed for bed and lays down "you ever need anything and you know i'll always be over here" she nods and i was about to walk out before she stops me "thank you" i send her a soft smile before closing her door. i walk downstairs and see paul and walk over too him and wrap my arms around his torso i feel his arms go around me as well and he just holds me,after a few seconds we break apart "let's get you home alright?" i nod "wait actually can you take me to bella's i need to see how she's doing and i came here with sam so we're gonna have to use your truck" he nods and we get into his car before he takes me to bella's

we arrive at bella's and i go to open the car door but he stops me "wait i smell leech come on let's go to your house" i look in front of me to see a car i know all too well carlisles "it's the cullens i won't get hurt i'm safe" he shakes his head "i'm not risking it let's go" he pleads but in a demanding voice "paul let go of the door" i say getting irritated he stays where he is-hand still on the door i sigh "fine take me home" he hesitates but takes his hand off the door and starts the car but before he can back away i yank the door open and sprint to her porch despite a yelling paul and a protesting jacob that i now noticed was there and opened the door to see alice...i stare at her in shock before running up to her and giving her a bone crushing hug "how are you here?" i ask "would you like to explain to me how your both alive?!" she shouts "what?" me and bella ask "i saw a vision of you two,bella jumped off a cliff and you went in after her why in the hell would you try to kill yourself? what about charlie? what about-" i cut her off "she wasn't trying to kill herself and the water got rough and i tried to save her she was cliff jumping...recreationally...it was fun" she sighs

we are sitting on bella's couch with alice and hot coco in our hands "i have never met two people more prone to life-threatening idiocy" alice says and i laigh lightly "well that's us for you" i wink and she rolls her eyes playfully "did you-did you tell him?" bella spoke quietly "no.he only calls in once every few months...he said he wants to be alone" she goes quiet before speaking "nova,bella what is that god awful wet dog smell?!" bells removed her jacket and i remove my hoodie "uhm that's probably us or it's jacob and nova went to the clearwaters" "i was with paul too" "jacob and paul who?" she questioned "jacob and paul are kinda werewolf's" i elaborate she scoffs "guys werewolves are not good company to keep" "speak for yourself" i hear two voices say from behind us we turn to see jacob and paul standing there "i had to see you were safe" "i thought you couldn't protect me here" bella questioned "guess i don't care" jake sasses back "well i'm not gonna hurt them" alice speaks up "no your just a harmless cullen" paul spat and i slightly glared at him "we're talking about the other bloodsucker who tried to kill bella because of you" jake says "victoria?" "yeah victoria's been around" i look at bella "she was one of the three that were there when you played baseball right?" she nods "i didn't see her" alive says confused "i didn't see you guys get pulled out of the water either" paul eyed me "what does she mean 'get pulled out of the water?'" i avoided eye contact and bit my lip so i did what i still do best..."what do you mean you didn't see us get pulled from the water?" change the subject! good job nova "exactly that. i cant see past you guys and your pack of mutts!" she glared at the boys "don't get me upset" jake steps forward and that's when i got up and grabbed his arm just for precaution "hey stop" i get in between the two "or things are gonna get very ugly" "jake,calm down" he looks at me before sighing "i'll give you guys a minute" alice walks out the door grabbing my hand and taking me out the front door and a very angry hot headed werewolf close behind.
