the fight🐺

we walked outside just in time as the wolves got here,a lot more wolves than i remembered "we're outnumbered" jasper stated the obvious

"by a lot" alice added as they all three stood behind me

"i won't let them hurt my family" edward basically growled,sam's black wolf growled and i released a growl of my own from the back of my throat,jake isn't here right now,and i'm second in command,that makes me temporarily the alpha,no one moves because i was in the way,in front of everyone,i was the only thing stopping hell from letting loose, i can tell sam was getting frustrated but i didn't care "i'm sorry nova" edward said and quickly sped forward

"edward no!" i yelled as the wolves charged at us,he collided with sam as jasper met with a wolf and threw it against a tree,alice flipped over a wolf but it tackled her to the ground,and sam tackled edward but esme and carlisle joined and shoved them off of them,i heard a growl from behind me and i slowly turned to be met with a dark brown wolf "jared" i spoke slowly and got a grunt in return

'of course i had to get the stubborn one' i thought dryly

he growled before charging at me,snapping his jaw,and just nearly missing my face as he ran right pass me,i let out a breath i didn't know i was holding,an unfamiliar wolf,probably some one new,charged at me and i quickly swung my fist,sending it flying several feet back into a tree,as i saw emmet kick a wolf in the face before punching another one,seth and leah finally came on the scene and leah tackled a wolf that was on alice,seth going to help his sister,i saw emmet jump in a tree,a silver wolf hot on his tail,paul jumped up and tried to get him but emmet punched him down,paul whimpered in pain as he hit the ground "emmet!" i yelled and he turned to me "watch who you punch" i wasn't paying attention and got body slammed onto the ground by a light brown wolf,it snarled above me,pinning my arms down by my sides with its paws so i couldn't shift and fight back,it opened its mouth,baring it's canines,i let out a slight whimper and closed my eyes,flinching when there was a very hard thud,followed by a very loud and deep growl/roar,i opened my eyes to see the light brown wolf was replaced by a silver one,the brown wolf huffed and walked away,paul turned his head back to me,we stared at each other for a moment before he got off of me and i quickly stood up "thank you" i whispered and he nodded before jogging away from me,next thing i knew,jacob jumped out of nowhere and looked at sam

"stop! it's over! if you kill her you kill me!" he said when sam snarled at him,sam charged him and jake jumped up,shifting in mid air,growling at sam

"jacob imprinted,they can't hurt her,who ever a wolf imprints on can't be harmed,it's their most absolute law" edward repeated what i had said to him earlier,sam finally backed down and dragged his paw in the dirt before walking away into the woods,the pack following,paul looked back at me one more time before fully leaving.

i sighed in relief as i walked back inside to where rose was,holding renesmee "can i hold her?" i asked softly,she turned to me and smiled,before standing up from the couch and walking over to me,gently putting renesmee in my arms,i gave her a slight smile before she left the room "look at you" i cooed,whispering to her "it's aunt nova,you're so gorgeous,just like your mom" i smiled sadly as tears pricked my eyes and she made a little gurgle,i furrowed my brows when she reached her tiny hand to my cheek,i gasped as i watched everything that i just said and did replay in my mind,and heard my voice that day when edward discovered he could hear her thoughts before she pulled her hand away and it stopped,i looked down at her amazed "you're gifted" i beamed at her and she gave a gummy smile back in response

after getting some well rested sleep in alice's room,we were all waiting around the house,waiting for bellas heart to stop which hasn't done its job yet,bella has been out for two days now.i found jake in the halls and i walked up to him "hey"

"hey" he nodded

"i need to ask you something" i said after a second and he nodded "do you think it's a good idea to make amends back with sam?" he looked at me shocked and before he could respond i started rambling "i-i mean unless you don't think it's a good idea,i just thought because of my brother,paul and quil,and maybe reuniting the group,because he is my imprint and all,and i miss emily's muffins,but of course i'll always be in your pack so don't worry,i mean im your second in command and you actually let me have some freedom so-"

"nov" he cut me off with a slight smile "if you think making amends with sam is the right thing to do then go for it"

"what about you?" i asked "i'll make amends when the time is right" he nodded

"so basically never" i mumbled and he nudged me,before he could respond,the whole house went silent,me and jake angled our heads to see if we hear anything,but nothing,no speaking,no moving around,

no heart beat.
